Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Fewings. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Danielle, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
It’s all about sitting in gratitude with the missteps throughout my career and going the extra mile to learn from my mistakes.
Like anyone, I’ve made mistakes along the way, whether it be financially, partnering with the wrong people or just going on all in on the wrong things. It’s easy to fall into the trap of poor me, but I really feel like our time is better spent operating with the mindset of ‘lucky me’ – yes even for the missteps. I’m constantly grateful for what I can learn from those mistakes, how they help me set up better systems for my business and stand much more firm in my future decision making.
I also have extremely high standards for myself, which means my integrity is constantly in the drivers seat. With everything I do, I ask myself if my actions could be criticized by the court of public opinion. If yes, there’s room for course correction. If no, it means I’m making the best decision for my business.
I believe gratitude and integrity are truly the foundations for confidence and high self esteem.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Our quick elevator pitch: We strive to relieve the stress of online women’s boutique owners by scaling their online sales through coaching and paid ads.
After owning a boutique and hiring a very expensive company to run ads for me, which only drained my bank account; I took matters into my own hands. I taught myself how to run Facebook ads and decided to pivot into running an agency.
We really work to make sure the businesses we work with are setup to succeed with ads and we really drive home the point that it’s not just a flip of a switch. Regardless of your business, you need a strong foundation in order for your ads to succeed.
Because of this approach and our commitment to staying engaged with our clients, we’ve doubled our revenue year after year. It’s very exciting to see all that we’ve accomplished and how our clients have grown as well!
While we love what Facebook advertising has to offer, we’re in the process of launching a service for Google Ads in Q3.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that were most impactful on my journey: 1. Knowing my ideal client inside and out.
– In the service based industry, I am a FIRM believer that you need to niche down to a very specific type of client that way you can be an expert in how to help them. In my case, yes we can run ads for anyone, but it’s impossible to stay on top of current trends for every industry or be an expert in every industry. Because we focus on online women’s retail, we know what it takes for a boutique owner to succeed, with or without ads. Yes it gets old writing copy for skinny jeans week after week, but knowing what major shifts are happening in ad conversions and being able to communicate that across all of our accounts is invaluable.
2. Commitment to delivering value vs selling
– Since I started this business, I’ve never relied on actually selling my services, instead I just share value that can help our ideal client. We inundate our audience with blog posts, Instagram reels and TikToks with tips/ tricks that can help them succeed outside of ads. This gives us a ton of credibility in our space and allows people to trust us before they become a client because they’ve never been “sold”. Sure we have people absorbing a ton of free content and they may never become a paying client, but I really don’t see any harm in that.
3. Obsession with systems
– Somehow when I started this business I had the wherewithal to set up extremely detailed systems and automations for my business. Looking back I’m SO grateful I did because setting that up way down the road would have been a massive undertaking. Because of this, we don’t waste time on tasks that can be automated which allows us to take on my clients. Also nothing is ever missed by our team – not an email, not an ad, not a DM or Slack message. It also allows us to work around the business versus the dictating our every move.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Because we are firm when it comes to staying in our zone of genius of paid advertising, we love to have other service providers we can refer our clients to for other service providers.
If other businesses support online women’s boutique owners or product based businesses, we’d be excited to connect. The best way to reach out is via email: [email protected]
