We recently connected with Danielle Hall and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience through everything that I’ve dealt in life. I remember when I tried to commit suicide. I was about 17 years old. After that time spent in Trinity Springs, I told myself that I wouldn’t do it again. Giving up on my life isn’t a option. No matter how hard life gets. I know that GOD will provide through it all. GOD’s good grace and mercy is the reason I’m still here today. Jehovah/Jah/GOD Almighty. He’s been by my side through it all. Plus my mother Dana Watters is a strong independent woman. She taught me how to work hard in life. I admire her strong will. My Grandmama Dorothy Faye is the example of strength. She is the backbone of my family. I come from a long line of great strong women. I’m proud to be one of them.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am Danielle Hall. I go by Passion The Lioness. Passion is an acronym. It stands for Plans And Sessions Set In On Novels.
I’m a Poet, Author, Model and Actress. I’m very passionate about what I do. I love inspiring people especially young women.
I started writing because for a while I was lost in life. I wasn’t confident about myself. I began to lose hope. I felt like I didn’t belong in this world. Writing gave me confidence. Not only am I helping myself but it lead me to help others like me. I started modeling when the words became too much. I was tired of writing the same sad stuff. Modeling also gave me confidence. It makes me feel beautiful. It makes me feel like I am good enough. Acting is definitely a different kind of boost. I love the power to transform into the character. It’s a special kind of energy. I love everything that I do. It challenges me to be greater.
GOD has been my strength through it all.
My goal is to be known world wide. To not only be a pretty face but to make a difference. I feel that if one wins we all win. I want to be that encouragement for the little girls who believe they aren’t good enough.
I am dedicated and determined to make my dreams come true. I will continue to make my mark in this industry

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Persistence, Determination & Dedication. Most of all it was my Passion to keep going for what I wanted in life. Many times we think we failed because we didn’t get it on the first time. Truth is we only fail when we give up. Stay the course. You’re on the right path. Hard work pays off. Nothing worth having ever comes easy.
All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
My Hidradenitis Suppurativa Story.
Nobody ever talks about how healing takes you to a place that requires separation but how that separation feels like loneliness.
Don’t give up during your healing. It’s ugly but it’s worth it!!!
I was diagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) When I was 18 years old. I am now 35 years old. I used to be so embarrassed. The pain was unbearable at times. In 2018 I got my first surgery. Between 2018 and 2019 I had 5 major surgeries. They took my sweat glands out of my underarms. Then they did a skin graft. The most painful part was getting the wound vacs changed. I got both underarms done at the same time. It felt like someone was ripping my skin apart every time. I’ve had surgery on my leg. I got a skin graft on my leg as well. They used the skin from my thighs to do the skin grafts. The doctors believe the Hidradenitis Suppurativa caused me to have Cellulitis in my legs. That was even more painful. I couldn’t walk it hurt so bad. I’ve also had surgery on my groin area. There were many sleepless nights. My nerves were shot. All I could do was cry and pray. I gained about 30 to 40 pounds. Which definitely didn’t help my anxiety and depression. Moving forword to 2023. I had surgery for reconstruction of the labia. The surgeon did everything little by little. I had surgery on my right buttocks, inner thighs, pubic area and bilateral labia. I stayed at the facility to recover. I spent two months at Texas Health Specialty Hospital on Pennsylvania Ave in Fort Worth. My surgeon Maxim Pekarev was the best. He was able to calm my nerves when I felt overwhelmed. I didn’t have any complications. Yes, I went through a lot of pain. There were many dark days. My family and friends made me feel so loved. They really showed up for me. Whether it was in person or by phone. I truly am grateful for them. I was in the hospital from December to February. I was so ready to come home but my body was not. It was so hard to move around. They had me on water pills so I had to keep getting up to use the restroom. Continously changing bandages for my wounds. My mom Dana Watters is such a angel. She is my biggest blessing. She has been with me and supported me through it all. Most of all GOD brought me through that storm. I didn’t think I would make it. GOD assured me that he would provide if I didn’t give up. Now it’s 2024. I’m much better. All glory to GOD. I’m working on getting healthy and losing this weight. Becoming more sociable. Ready to get my fire back. I love when people overcome what tried to take them out. I’m a Lioness survivor at best. This condition is not for the weak. If anything it’s shows your strength. We endure a lot. The journey still continues. Thankful that GOD gives me the strength to keep going.
