Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Horton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Danielle, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
When I was younger though I didn’t grow up horrible. I was never the kid that got the new phone or had a lot of clothes . But I’ve always been grateful knowing my mom did everything she could. I also understood early hard work pays off , I just had to wait my turn . Soon as I could get a job it was over . From 16 -19 I kept 2-3 jobs . Full time , part time & somewhere to pick up . This lit a fire in me once I was able to do things for myself and see money stack . When I was 19 I started doing lash extensions. I went to esthetician school graduated . I worked awhile built a clientele , then I moved to houston after visiting 1 time with my twin brother . Found an apt signed a lease and moved 2 months later. Houston allowed me to grow in ways my home town wouldn’t . In just 6 months of networking and even working for free I built a full clientele and network. By summer the following year I had a whole salon .
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
After years working in esthetics I used the network I built to transition into the real estate world . I specialize in turning renters into buyers , educating my generation of influencers, athletes and entrepreneurs how to invest .
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Faith has played a tremendous role in my life .Also my ability to execute . Whenever I put my mind to something I plan and I do it . I don’t waste any time . My advice for anyone early in their journey would be to believe that you can actually do it & do it . If you don’t genuinely believe it won’t happen.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The Bible . One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 14:23 “All hard work brings profit , but mere talk leads to poverty ”
