Meet Danielle Lucear

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Lucear. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Danielle, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
To be honest I wouldn’t say my confidence is developed, I would use the term “currently evolving” . For me personally, I don’t think confidence & self-esteem is something that stay at a consistent level unless you are pouring into yourself CONSISTENTLY. Hear me out. As humans our confidence fluctuates based off seasons we’re in or emotions. A lot of times our confidence may not be as high if we don’t have the right outfit, hair isn’t done or cut , face breakout, wrong relationship , not getting the job opportunities etc.
So I pray more, take self care days, read, walk outside and stay aligned with God , to continue EVOLVING my confidence & self-esteem every day.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Hairstylist, Businesswoman, and so much more. I am the owner of Dani Shamice Studio (Hair Salon), Co – Owner of Deeper Than A Hustle (Clothing Brand) & The Owner of Island Breeze LLC (Snow cones & Italian Ice truck) . The thing that excites me most with all of my businesses, Is that I have been able to meet so many people & experience new opportunities.
My focus has shifted since I’ve been on my entrepreneur journey. Now everything I do or strive towards is for the generation behind me or even the people in my circle.Especially being able to influence the younger generation that anything is possible & dreams really do come true. It won’t be easy but if you’re willing to work hard for it you can have it. I just truly want to be a positive influence on anyone that I come in contact with. As well as build job opportunities for the youth or the community as a whole

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say Drive/ambition, prayer, work ethics. The advice I would give to anyone in the early stages of their journey would be set a goal, lock in (focus) and execute. Most importantly always be teachable

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
That’s a tricky question . I feel that it depends on what particular areas aren’t strong. The way I look at it is our strengths are our God given talents/gifts. So our strengths will always make a way or open doors for improving the not so strong areas. For example you may not be good with finances but you may end up meeting someone who is. You may not have great communication skills but you may meet someone who understands and helps you. I just feel that you will naturally attract the balance especially if you’re aligned.
