We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Danielle Meade a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I gained my resilience and work ethic by being an athlete growing up and into adulthood. Even if you loose you have to get right back up and work harder and be more focused to over come obstacles and win. This lesson carries over into to my work each and every day.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Being in real estate in 2024 looks very different than it did in 2005 when I started. With myself and my team we try to mix our old school knowledge of traditional real estate while keeping up with todays marketing trends and technology. A large part of our job is taking as much stress of our sellers and buyers as possible. This begins and ends with us being available via email, text and phone at all times. This allows us to resolve any problems before they even happen. Our focus is on our clients and their goals first and foremost.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The top three skills that I think have been most impactful on my business are my drive, knowledge and flexibility. My drive to want to “win” pushes me to make sure we make it to the closing table with each and every client. This pushes our team to be on top of all the small details and not let anything hold up the closing.
Our knowledge of the market and all the tiny details that it takes to close on a property helps us avoid any hiccups or holdups. Along those lines In this ever changing business you really need to know how to be flexible and pivot. All three of those habits/skills put together have helped my team be successful in very difficult times in real estate and come out on the end stronger and more focued.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Keeping positive during this very challenging real estate market is very hard to do. Starting every day with positivity and caring it through the day is a challenge. In a market that can be stressful, overwhelming and chaotic if you keep positive and stay focussed that stress and chaos tends to fade away.
