Meet Danny Lugo

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danny Lugo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danny below.

Hi Danny , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Developing confidence and self-esteem was a intense & long journey for me. One that looks different for every individual on that path of self mastery. Although i believe we never stop growing, I developed my confidence and self-esteem through sheer will power, faith and opportunities with individuals of people who surrounded me with love patients opportunities for growth. Of course i felt like i wasn’t good enough before and had doubts of failure. But something within my spirit always kept me going to never give up. Even if i tried to give up , something would align with me in that moment to give me the push to go to next level and elevate. Years of dedication and trials of faith really molded me along with traveling & connecting with so many different innovating creative people. In the end you have to go with your flow and believe in yourself and your vision.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am Danny Lugo, a music, artist, professional dancer, and music producer better known as Darnell A. PacMan Catlett . I was born in Washington DC then moved to Baltimore,MD where I grew up in the Baltimore club culture, going to the Paradox club and making a name through street. Dancing at the local teen parties as a youth .
I have traveled internationally as a back up dancer in 2010 -2013 With over 10 years of dance experience, I’ve Then transitioned over into the music side, making beats first and then starting to write vocals. What’s special about what I do is it all stems from dance. The Baltimore club music community shaped my ear for music along with hip-hop and R&B music. I had the opportunity to perform at SXSW, the winter, music conference, and Coachella with RyeRye as a back up dancer. In Baltimore City I performed at Baltimore by Baltimore, and Afram music festival recently in 2023 in collaboration with the waterfront festival and Unruly records. Baltimore club is a very special genre to me. The loud bass samples and up-tempo beats really collaborate with the dance style and add lyrics to it made it my own when I incorporated my rapping & producing with my past talent of dancing. I have worked with many brands & artist either for dancing or music.
Today I have a Baltimore club album out called Kingz Of Club, that’s available on all streaming platforms with the music video called make them rock featuring the single from the album.
Im’ currently working on new music and new ways to incorporate all of my talents in one and working with local talents to create a euphoria for not only our style of music and dance, but our culture as well. You can find me on all platforms and social medias, and I’m always willing to work with new faces and talented, creative thinkers..

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would say being consistent being yourself, and allowing yourself to grow without hesitation. Timing is very important, but you always know the right time to move. You should never wait too long or move too fast the best advice I can give anyone is the follow there intuition and don’t listen to everyone’s feedback without a grain of salt .Take what you can from it and don’t be too hard on yourself. You never know when it’s your time, but you should always be prepared and never have to get ready. If you don’t have faith in yourself how can others have faith in what you have to offer , I would just challenge people to go through the process and trust themselves and always give it 100% effort.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
collaborating is something I wish to expand on I really like music I really like dancing and fashion, movies and a lot of things involving entertainment The type of brands that I would work with is miscellaneous and not too specific but I would love to share what I have to offer with other people who align them selves and value similar ways to grow & create content. I’m always down to collaborate and network so if anyone’s interested, they can email me or contact me via social media and I’ll be glad to chop it up with them
