Meet Dante Bacote

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dante Bacote a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dante, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

I would say my optimism for life dawned on me at a young age through observation. Seeing my parents go through all types adversity; from social constructs implemented before their birth to modern situations and conditions this world struggles to shift from to this day. It caused me to realized no matter what comes your way hold your head high prepare for the worst and hope for the best as my dad says because life can only get you down if you let it. If you’re breathing you can make a difference. I also witnessed my Grandma Juliette love every single person no matter their cross or creed. This is fueled daily by my love for my family. My wife Nicole and Daughter Melody are a constant reminder of why my outlook can only be positive because if I don’t seek the good and hold tight onto it with everything God gave me who will.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I recently became CEO of my Entertainment company “Dreaming Unicorn” so looking forward to producing films and more soon.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The top three qualities that have helped me the most on my journey have been persistence, passion for your art, always be willing learn not only about your craft but yourself. Anyone aspiring to make a dream real with these qualities as a foundation can achieve anything. Above all else always believe in yourself because we’re all doing this thing called life for the first time. So just put one foot in front of the other and enjoy the ride.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

They have always believed in me from the beginning. With that belief it helped foster my own self belief which I’ll pass along to my daughter and the world with every fiber of my being. We can make any dream real in this life all you have to do is believe and do what is necessary to bring it into fruition.
