Meet Danting Li

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danting Li. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Danting, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re very focused on here – improving our ability to make decisions. Everyday, we’re faced with decisions that can impact the future of our careers, businesses, relationships and more and so one of the most impactful areas for personal development, in our view, is decision-making. Can you talk to us about how you developed or improved your decision-making skills?

I developed my decision-making skills through real-world design experience, where I’ve had to consistently balance aesthetics, usability, client goals, and technical constraints. One defining moment was leading a branding and e-commerce project with a tight deadline. When the developer’s delays risked the outcome, I made the tough call to replace them, restructure the workflow, and keep the project on track. That experience sharpened my ability to act decisively under pressure. I also ground my decisions in user insights, market trends, and brand strategy—ensuring every choice supports the overall vision and delivers real value.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a graphic and web designer and co-founder of SparksGlo, a creative agency that fuses graphic design, web development, and 3D visuals to create immersive branding experiences. I specialize in helping small businesses build strong, memorable identities that stand out in competitive markets. What excites me most is transforming complex ideas into clear, impactful visuals that truly connect with people. Currently, I’m expanding our services to include real estate agent personal CMS website templates, e-commerce websites, and rebranding for growing companies. I’m also developing YOSN, a fragrance tablet brand focused on sensory-rich, immersive storytelling that blends scent and design in innovative ways.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that have made a real difference in my design journey are clarity, empathy, and decisiveness. Clarity helps me communicate ideas, feedback, and creative direction without the fluff—so everyone’s on the same page, faster. Empathy lets me step into the user’s or client’s shoes and design experiences that feel intuitive and meaningful, not just good-looking. And being decisive? That’s how I keep momentum, make smart design calls under pressure, and avoid getting stuck in endless revisions. For anyone starting out: speak your ideas clearly, design with people in mind, and don’t be afraid to make bold, informed choices—your growth happens in those moments.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

One of the biggest challenges I’m currently facing is working with clients who have very limited budgets for design services. It’s difficult to deliver high-quality, customized work without compromising time, cost, or creative standards. To address this, I’m developing a series of industry-specific website templates—starting with real estate, healthcare, and jewelry sectors. These templates allow clients to access professional, well-designed websites at a much lower cost, while also helping me streamline my workflow and serve more businesses efficiently without sacrificing quality.
