Meet Daphne Marie

We recently connected with Daphne Marie and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Daphne, really appreciate your meeting with us today to talk about some particularly personal topics. It means a lot because so many in the community are going through circumstances where your insights and experience and lessons might help, so thank you so much in advance for sharing. The first question we have is about divorce and how you overcame divorce and didn’t allow the trauma of divorce to derail your vision for your life and career.

I did the work. But not for anyone but myself. And my work was on me. Why I kept attracting the same “type”. Why I stayed longer than I should have, etc.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a middle-aged introverted Glamma that parents adult children, healing from past trauma while navigating perimenopause and on a journey to a softer life. I’m a style coach. I teach introverted entrepreneurs how to curate a conversational wardrobe using my Y.O.U. method. The most exciting thing about what I do is when the client comes back and expresses how much confidence he/she has gained since working with me.
I am focused on building a community of women like myself , where we can help each other through this stage of being able to get back to US!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back I think my three qualities, skills, or area of knowledge would be my ability to manage a project from conception to execution, my skill to plan, and my attention to detail along with my creativity. My advice to those who are early in their journey would be to trust themselves, find a mentor in the field you want to go in, and make sure you are doing something you love so it doesn’t feel like work.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

I believe it’s better to hone in on your strengths while working on being more well-rounded. I like to learn so being more well-rounded gives me more ways to help people and make money. Improving on my strengths allows me to be more of an expert in the areas that I’m naturally skilled in.
