We were lucky to catch up with Daria Orlova recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Daria, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding your purpose is a personal process that comes through experience and reflection. For me, it was about understanding what brings joy and a sense of meaning, something that aligns with my values and interests. Often, it involves trying different things, learning from mistakes, and listening to yourself.
Purpose doesn’t always come immediately it develops over time through what truly matters and inspires you. It’s important to ask yourself: What do I want to do? What motivates me? What kind of impact do I want to leave?
In the end, life’s meaning is what helps you feel alive and be useful to yourself and others.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I have been working in the beauty industry for many years, and for me, manicure is not just a profession but a true art and a form of self-expression. My journey began with a desire to create beauty and give people confidence through well-groomed nails. Over time, I expanded my work to become an instructor and trainer, sharing my knowledge and helping other professionals grow.
The most exciting part of my work is continuous development and the opportunity to inspire others. I enjoy seeing my students discover new techniques and achieve success, as well as participating in championships as a judge, where I evaluate the skill level and innovations within the industry.
My brand is built on quality, attention to detail, and an individual approach to each client and student. Currently, I am actively working on launching my own original technique, protected by copyright, which will allow professionals to master unique methods and stand out in the market. In the near future, I plan to introduce new training courses and conduct masterclasses that will help specialists not only learn modern techniques but also develop their creative thinking.
For me, it is important not only to create beautiful nails but also to build a community of professionals united by passion for their craft and a commitment to excellence.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, three qualities have been most influential in shaping my journey in the beauty industry:
Persistence and resilience.Challenges and setbacks are inevitable, but the key is to never give up and keep moving forward. Staying determined through difficult times has allowed me to grow and succeed.
Continuous learning and self-improvement.The beauty industry evolves rapidly, so staying curious and committed to expanding my skills has been essential.
Creativity and attention to detail.Treating manicure as an art form and focusing on the smallest details has helped me create unique work that stands out.
My advice for those starting out is to embrace persistence — when faced with obstacles, don’t lose heart. Keep pushing forward, learn from every experience, and stay passionate about your craft. Combining this mindset with ongoing learning and creativity will set you on the path to success.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past 12 months, I have achieved the greatest growth and improvement in several key areas that have become true milestones in my professional development.
First, it is participating in competitions and winning international championships. A particularly significant success for me has been in creative modeling a field that combines art and beauty, where there are no limits to imagination. Here, I was able to unleash my creative potential and present unique works highly appreciated by the judges.
Second, I have made great strides in mentorship. As a coach, I led my team to victory in Germany, where my students took prize-winning places. We won first place in the team category at a major championship this achievement has become one of the most meaningful and proud moments in my career.
These successes in creativity and mentorship reflect my professional growth and prove that persistence, creativity, and teamwork bring outstanding results.
