Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Darius Lewis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Darius , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic didn’t come from comfort or easy examples. It came from survival.
Even though my parents struggled with addiction, and my home life was chaotic, I was surrounded by hustle. My dad might’ve been hustling for the wrong reasons — stealing, flipping things, doing whatever it took for a fix — but what I absorbed as a kid was the grind itself. I saw firsthand that sitting still meant going hungry, that nothing came easy, and that you had to move to make something happen.
I took that street hustle and turned it into creative hustle. I learned early that if you wanted a better life, you had to build it yourself — and that’s exactly what ive been doing with BrightFrame

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
“I’m a filmmaker and creative producer. I run BrightFrame Productions, where we create original comedy series, web shows, and short films that capture real stories and bring people together through laughter.”
The most exciting part is turning raw ideas into something people can actually feel — seeing audiences laugh, connect, or even see themselves in our stories.”
“What I love most is creating opportunities for local talent — helping new actors and writers get their first credits and build confidence on camera.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three things that shaped my journey are resilience, storytelling, and leadership. I learned how to turn struggle into strength, truth into stories, and teamwork into impact. My advice to anyone starting out: don’t wait, don’t fake, and don’t go alone. Build, create, and believe — every step counts.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Writers, directors, and actors who share your creative energy and comedic instincts.
Why I need them: To expand my content output while keeping quality and voice consistent.
Look for:
• People who understand my tone (gritty humor, Atlanta culture, street authenticity).
• Writers who can structure scripts while respecting your comedic rhythm.
• Actors who bring improvisation and natural timing.
Producers, investors, brand developers, or distribution partners.
Why i need them: To help fund, scale, and distribute BrightFrame’s projects.
Look for:
• Partners who believe in independent content and see BrightFrame as an investment, not a side hustle.
• People with backgrounds in film finance, distribution, or marketing deals with streaming networks or OTT platforms.
