Meet Darnel Harper

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Darnel Harper. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Darnel , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
Our optimism come our faith in God….also the fact that we want to work for ourselves instead of others. To develop our skills, we felt it was better to focus on a career we enjoyed versus a job we tolerate

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
In our line of work, we run a multi-faceted company creating graphic designs, apparels, animations, and canvas art. Our brand is to not only to create, but to explore the world of art and collaborate with other artist and people who are willing to buy our designs.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
a. The qualities we had to learn were patience, tenacity, and failure. Patience comes from learning different techniques and trying new things. Tenacity for us is to keep pushing forward and having the motivation to do our best (to progress). Failure…we had to learn that we fail when we stop trying. An example of that is networking. How can we succeed in bringing our business to others if we ourselves are not willing to reach out (come out of our shells). Our advice for people is to keep going. Even if you’re at the bottom, you cant get lower than that…and somebody got to pay the bills

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We are looking for people who are not willing to work for us but work with us. Networking is a major asset when it comes to building a business and that means tagging in post, sponsoring, and collaborating in art projects that shows us and other artists off. If anyone would like to collaborate, they can reach us in Instagram, Facebook, twitter, and soon we’ll be on YouTube
