We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful David Heckenberg. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with David below.
David, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
By realizing that no matter how much experience anyone has, everything is always subject to change without notice…which means that we are all just learning as we go. Additionally I can only be ok in the moment I’m in. If anything were ever possible for my life, it would only ever be able to be possible and to be able to come into fruition in the moment that I’m in, and it’s always my first time being in this moment regardless of how familiar or unfamiliar feelings and/or external surroundings may seem. Technically it’s all of humanity’s first time being in this moment too, we’ve all never been here before.
Where I’m trying to go with this is that the safest place for me to rest in is in the moment I’m in, because if 100% of me is here and present then I’m in the truth, regardless of what the truth it. I have max fire power to respond appropriately with love when I’m in the truth, and I don’t really actually need to know what the truth is in order to be in it.
The universe’s unconditional grace ultimately can guide and point me in the right direction independent of my perception/consciousness, I’ll always be worthy of love, healing, guidance, peace etc. There’s no guess work or connecting dots on my end…just hitchin an free ride dust in the wind going with the flow. And if trouble comes I can cheerfully capitalize on it as an opportunity for the eternal structure behind reality to demonstrate its omnipotence.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
An undeniable unearthly calling, persistence, and eventually with learning and time…a clear vision is revealed.
I believe we all have some sort of spark in our heart, and it was put their intentionally to be nurtured, fostered, and embraced.
