Meet David Mammano

We caught up with the talented and insightful David Mammano a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

David , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I would say it comes from a mix of life experience, perspective, and a strong sense of purpose. I have been through some difficult seasons, both personally and professionally, and each time I learned that I could get back up. It was not always immediate or easy, but I always found a way to move forward.

I also draw a lot of strength from the people around me. Friends, mentors, and family members who have believed in me, even when I was struggling to believe in myself, have helped me keep going. But more than anything, my resilience comes from knowing that I am here to make a positive difference. That sense of purpose gives me fuel when things get hard.

And honestly, being able to laugh, especially at myself, has always helped me stay grounded. If I can still find joy in the middle of the chaos, I know I will be okay.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. At the core of everything I do is a passion for helping people become the best version of themselves, especially entrepreneurs and leaders who are looking to grow their businesses and their personal lives at the same time.

Right now, I am especially excited about a new project called The Levity Network. It is a business group created for entrepreneurs and business owners who want to lead and grow with levity, compassion, and enthusiasm. We bring together people who care deeply about their work but also want to stay grounded, inspired, and connected to a sense of joy.

The Levity Network offers live events, an online community, and opportunities for members to showcase their podcasts, speaking services, and other original content. Members also get access to monthly expert sessions and collaborative opportunities that support both personal and professional growth.

What makes this work so special to me is that it is not just about building successful businesses. It is about building better leaders and more meaningful lives. I believe you can be serious about your goals without taking yourself too seriously. That mindset has carried me through many chapters of my career, and I love sharing that energy with others.

We have some exciting things coming up, including new events, collaborations, and member-driven content launches. The goal is simple but powerful. We want to create a space where people feel energized, supported, and reminded that leadership can be filled with light, laughter, and purpose.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are curiosity, resilience, and the ability to connect with people.

Curiosity has always been a driving force for me. I am constantly asking questions, exploring new ideas, and trying to figure out how things work or how they could work better. That mindset has opened a lot of doors and helped me evolve with the times instead of staying stuck in what is familiar. For anyone just starting out, I would encourage you to stay curious. Ask questions, read everything you can, and surround yourself with people who challenge the way you think.

Resilience has helped me get through the hard seasons. Business and life are not always smooth. I have had failures, setbacks, and moments of doubt, but those experiences shaped me more than any win ever could. You build resilience by showing up every day, especially when things are uncertain. My advice is to trust that hard moments are not the end of the road. They are part of the process, and you are stronger than you think.

Connection has probably been the most powerful piece. The ability to build real relationships, to listen well, to care about people, and to bring positive energy into every room has opened more opportunities than any strategy ever could. If you focus on being genuinely helpful, kind, and present, the right people will want to work with you, support you, and grow with you.

If you are just beginning your journey, I would say this: be curious, be kind, and keep going. Everything else can be learned along the way.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

If I knew I only had a decade left, I would spend it being fully present, intentional, and joyful. I would double down on the people I love. I would travel more with friends and family, have long dinners filled with laughter, and create unforgettable memories with the people who matter most to me.

I would also keep doing meaningful work, but with even more focus on what truly lights me up. I would spend my time helping others grow, especially entrepreneurs and leaders who want to make a difference without losing themselves in the process. I would keep speaking, teaching, and building community, but I would say yes only to the things that energize me and no to anything that drains my spirit.

I would give myself full permission to live with more levity, creativity, and courage. I would not wait for the perfect moment. I would write more, tell more stories, take more walks, and appreciate more sunsets. I would give out more compliments, be quicker to forgive, and make sure the people in my life knew exactly how much I love and believe in them.

Most of all, I would live with the mindset that joy, meaning, and connection are not rewards for someday. They are available right now, and I would do my best to share that truth with everyone I meet.
