Meet David Tubbs

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful David Tubbs. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with David below.

David, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Where did I get my resilience from? That’s a good question I can say since I was a young boy growing up in Maryland my mother worked hard to keep a roof over me and my little sister’s head as well as keeping food on the table for we can eat. From there on I always said to myself that I will work ten times harder to reach my goal of being an acting and model. So what did I do I started cutting back on the fun things I love to do and started going to different acting classes and networking events based on acting and modeling. I stop people pleasing! I stop taking more hours at my old jobs.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Howdy yall I’m an acting and model. I’ve been acting for 12 years and I’ve been modeling for two years now. You may have seen me in the Lincoln directed by Steven Spielberg and Available Wife directed by Jamar Hill. What I feel is most exciting about being in movies and modeling is that it’s a job that I Love to do. I enjoy getting up early in the morning to be on set, the late nights to the early morning the next day still shooting. If it was a regular job I would be fighting to get up out of bed and telling myself everyday I want to quit this job! I’m known as CowboyTubbs because I ride horses and ride bulls! I love the whole western life. So whats new have a Western Photo shoot coming up September 30,2023 which will be held in Maryland you can go to Evenbrite to buy a ticket. I will have horses, food, photographers and more! Link down the bottom.

I’m also working on a Documentary on Chiari malformation which is a rare brain problem. I almost pass away from this I Thank GOD everyday for still being alive! December of last year I had brain surgery to take care of it.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Good question looking back at the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey was and still used to this day first keep everything to yourself don’t tell anyone noting until its done! Second stay focused on your path. Men if you don’t have any children and your single keep it that way til you reach your goal that can sometimes slow you down. Women if you don’t have children and your single keeps that way as well! Third stop being around everyone because everybody is not for you at the end of the day.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes I’m looking for folks to collaborate with. The people I want to collaborate with will be Tam Cruise, Tyler Perry, DeWayne Colley, Kevin Hart, Dwayne Jahnson and last Gabriella Wilson. I will love to work with each of you all except Gabriella. Gabriella I want to take you out on a date!
