Meet Dawn Woodring-Mosley

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dawn Woodring-Mosley. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Dawn, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
As a 15 year breast cancer survivor, I know the importance of embracing we are wonderfully and beautifully made and this is not the last chapter in our book. We are more than conquerors walking by faith and not by sight of the storm before us. I learned a well grounded support system outside the medical arena was also paramount to crossing the finish line. If I had entered the race already defeated, I may not have received my medal. My spiritual overseer strategically came into my life just prior to my diagnosis where a foundation of scripture, faith, accountability, and empathy was planted. As a result, I enjoy uplifting others as know and understand the power of words, a thoughtful gesture, or just being that cheerleader on the side lines.

Although we have inflation and a driving economy, I feel there should not be a cost for encouraging tokens for women battling the storm or celebrating survivorship. In 2018, I began partnering with local breast cancer nonprofits donating items for care packages or events to further their cause. Just as there are medical front line workers, I firmly believe nonprofits are as well. Always with a creative entrepreneurial spirit, God blessed me in 2023 with My Timeless Bouquets where elegant glassware and other containers are blended with artistic inspired floral arrangements making for a timeless centerpiece. My venture further expanded to inspirational pillows truly giving me the platform to uplift and encourage others reminding how special we are. Our journeys and endings are distinctly different. I’m humbled that God has allowed my journey to continue not only doing something that I love but touching others on the way as well.

Appreciate the impacted by the storm. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am passionate about putting a smile on the faces of women impacted by the journey. I value the relationships with the nonprofits and touched they’ve allowed me to travel the road with them in making a difference. When diagnosed, my son had a school assignment to identify taglines for various causes. He created the tagline Cancer Can’t Blow Me Away which I adopted as the platform for being the cheerleader for this fight. We all have different stories with different endings. We encourage those still fighting, celebrate those who have crossed the finish line, and honor those that did not. What was meant to break me, I used as a catalyst to support others. In the realm of my entrepreneurial venture, My Timeless Bouquets captures our feminine essence as bouquets are typically designed in curvy and elegant glassware with a creative floral inspired bouquet made from fabric, ribbon, wooden roses, and other embellishments. While fresh flowers are wonderful to receive, after a few days or so they only leave a fond memory behind. Timeless Bouquets are timeless arrangements making wonderful gifts, great home decor, and are perfect for those who are allergic to flowers. I look forward to spreading sunshine in hospital gift shops and will be creating bouquet designs to introduce. I’ve been so excited with the launch of the inspirational pillows which is the platform where I can truly uplift and encourage others with messages of strength, hope, and determination. many people ask how I’m able to make these bouquet designs and I respond it’s through God’s lens that my hands work.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Patience, there is indeed a period of time between the vision, birthing, and perfection. It’s an exciting time that must take time it’s a process enjoy the ride. Research, test, and invite others that can provide good sound advice and input and don’t get discouraged.

Take the time to know your audience and who will best be interested in your product or service through friends, family, and social media platforms. This will save time especially if there is a niche.

There may be circumstances where there is not a good support system in place. Believe in yourself and the seed planted within you not wavering leaning on God for strength.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The Bible is the foundation for my life. I am reminded to have faith when obstacles come, God’s perfect timing in not rushing ahead of any endeavor, and to surround yourself with those that are supportive and encouraging. There is life in our words which can build up or tear down choose to encourage someone today.
