Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dayron Fernandez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Dayron, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism came from my mom. She told me since I was a kid always think positive, being optimism and try to spect the best. Things goes better when you think positive and see the positive side of the things.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am very passionate about music. From a very young age I started taking piano and cello lessons and at the age of 8 I entered the art school in my city, back in Cuba, where I am from. Have been more than two decades as a cello player and a decade being a professional musician. I feel very proud of myself, of what I have been able to achieve through my music. My phase as cello teacher was very important in my music career, I was able to leave a positive mark on the lives of many children and adolescents both in Cuba and Mexico, where I spent more than 6 years as a teacher and had the opportunity to play with various symphony orchestras and great international artists as Il Divo. For me, the most exciting and incredible thing about this profession is the recognition of people. Currently living in the city of Las Vegas for 4 years now and every time I perform a song at a wedding, private event or corporate event I always receive support and good reviews from the public and that is the most comforting thing for a musician. This year, 2025, I proposed to continue growing and be able to bring my art to many more people and places. The Cello Guy is the name of my brand with which I have been able to perform on many stages and events for companies such as Amazon, Booking.com, Lululemon, etc. In addition to sharing the stage with international Latin artists such as Ricardo Montaner, Thalia and Marc Anthony. My goal is to leave beautiful memories in people’s minds through my music, always giving them the best of my talent and presentation. This year I also plan to expand the music and art formats that my company has, such as duos, quartets, dancers, mirror man, acrobats, etc. in order to provide the client with a more complete entertainment experience if the client requests it. Music is my passion and I am very grateful to be able to make a living doing what I love.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I could say that my charisma, persistence and discipline were very important in my career as an artist and as a person.
To those who are starting their career I would tell them not to give up, to always pursue their dreams and develop all those skills that they are good at. Art is a feeling and with discipline and determination you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I like to find people with the same energy and desire to collaborate as me. If you are a person who likes to try new things without fear of failure, and you have good energy and a good vibe, I think we can collaborate. Talent, when it is good and also comes together, creates incredible things. If you think you could collaborate with me, find me on Instagram as @thecelloguy and send me a message.
