Meet DeAndre Jones

We recently connected with DeAndre Jones and have shared our conversation below.

Hi DeAndre , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my parents and my personal experiences. As i grew up i always observed my parents and i noticed they had strong work ethic. My Parents would take their jobs very serious and believed in being punctual. My father would always tell me if you do a job make sure you take the time to do it right. Always take pride in your work because all you have is your name. When i started my first job as a parking attendant i would notice myself going above and beyond. I would receive recognition for my work and this would inspire me to always do my best. As i work other jobs i demonstrate the same work ethics. As an Artist i demonstrate this work ethic as well.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is ExclusiveBoy D and i am from a small rural town called Lumberton located in North Carolina. I am a music artist that creates eclectic soul music. I got my interest in music very young. My grandfather and my Dad would sing around me all the time. I also, learned to sing and play drums at church. When i was in 5th grade i joined the band and played percussion. Also in 5th grade my oldest brother taught me how to rap and write songs. This is where i realized i had a passion for music. As i grew older i continued to work on my craft. In 2023, i started my own record label, “Red Jones Entertainment”. My goal is for my music to inspire and motivate people all over the world. I have now completed two solo albums. The first one is called “No Better Time Than Now” and the seconded is title “Dark Shades”. As a businessman I realized that in any business you must have multiple products. I am currently selling products to advertise and support my brand. You Can listen to “No Better Time Than Now” and “Dark Shades” below.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

One skill that is most impactful to my journey is having a good Work ethic. As an independent artist it can be very challenging. Having a good work ethic get you through challenging times. Another skill would be the ability to communicate and evoke emotions through songwriting. The third skill would be Being creative. Some advice i would give someone early in their journey is to believe in yourself, be willing to put in the work, and keep writing.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The book that has played an important role in my development would be “The Surrender Experiment” my journey int life’s perfection by Michael A. Singer. A few of the most valuable nuggets of wisdom that it taught me were not to overthink so much, keep your head down and put in the work by the time you look up you will have accomplished something, and sometimes you have to let the flow of life be in charge.
