Meet Deangela Threatt

We recently connected with Deangela Threatt and have shared our conversation below.

Deangela, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

A few years ago I went through a crisis. I didn’t understand who I was, what, I wanted out of life or what I wanted to be. I found myself questioning the universe on what I was put on earth for. Shortly after, I started watching motivational videos on YouTube and came across this amazing speaker named Evan Carmichael who had started promoting his book called Built to Serve. Once I read this book my purpose in life became crystal clear to me. I was put on Earth to help and serve others. Coming to this realization was enlightening because i realized when i was put in positions to help others whether that be jobs, feeding/giving money to the homeless, or now with my businesses, I was an am my happiest self.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I create journals to inspire and motivate women to live more fulfilling lives. The most special thing about this business is knowing that something that I created helps so many women from so many different walks of life. I don’t have children and don’t plan to have any so this is the legacy I’m leaving to the world.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The 3 most important qualities to have in my experience would be 1) problem solving skills 2) customer service 3) personal development. My advice to anyone early in their journey is to believe in themself, create goals, and understand that this is a marathon and not a race. There WILL be obstacles but as someone once said, The Obstacle is the Way.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The number one obstacle I currently have is self-doubt. I know my capabilities but I limit myself because of fear of the unknown. I now put myself in uncomfortable situations to strengthen myself
