Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Debora Martini. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Debora, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Debora Martini: A Journey of Resilience and Triumph
Born in a small, impoverished town in São Paulo, Brazil, Debora Martini always had the spirit of a leader. As a child, she would play the role of a boss, instinctively drawn to the power of creation and leadership. But reality was harsh, and poverty often dimmed her potential.
Determined to change her destiny, Debora moved away from her hometown and faced the challenges of single motherhood while raising two children. She began her journey as a preschool teacher, but her entrepreneurial spirit never faded. Through perseverance and ambition, she climbed the ranks and eventually became the owner of a television show, a remarkable achievement that proved her resilience.
Believing she could reach even greater heights, Debora took a bold step and moved to America with her American husband. However, life took an unexpected turn, and she found herself alone once again, with two children to support. Undeterred, she spent the next decade working as a nanny while tirelessly studying, taking various courses, and eventually enrolling in college. Her passion for healing and wellness led her to become a licensed massage therapist.
Today, Debora is the proud owner of Ellevate Spa, a highly successful wellness sanctuary in Woodland Hills. Known as the “House of Healing,” her spa is renowned for its unique fusion of science and spirituality, particularly through her specialized lymphatic drainage massage techniques. Debora’s holistic approach to healing integrates both the physical and the spiritual, helping clients not only rejuvenate their bodies but also restore their energy and inner balance.
From a struggling child with big dreams to a thriving entrepreneur, Debora Martini’s journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and the unwavering belief that one’s true potential can always rise—no matter the circumstances.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Debora Martini: Healing from the Inside Out
Debora Martini’s passion for healing began long before she became the renowned wellness expert she is today. From a young age, she felt a deep connection to the power of touch, an instinct that only grew stronger when her son began experiencing back issues at the age of ten. As she navigated doctor visits and therapy sessions, Debora absorbed every bit of knowledge she could, fueling her desire to understand the human body and its innate ability to heal.
Her journey started with intuition—her own family became the first recipients of what would later evolve into her signature healing techniques. “We’ve lost touch with ourselves,” Debora says, emphasizing that true healing begins from within. “Listening to our instincts and making the changes we need is the most important part of our life’s journey.”
Today, as the owner of Ellevate Spa, a sanctuary known as the House of Healing, Debora integrates a unique blend of science, intuition, and spirituality into her work. She believes that the universe is ready to give us exactly what we need—we just have to be open to receiving it. “So many people waste time on things that don’t truly matter,” she reflects. “When we reconnect with ourselves, we unlock a limitless potential for healing, balance, and fulfillment.”
Through her transformative approach, Debora doesn’t just offer massages—she offers a path back to self-awareness, helping clients realign their bodies, minds, and souls. With every healing touch, she reminds the world that true wellness is more than physical—it’s a journey of self-discovery and reconnection with the universe itself.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
– connection with ourselves
– believe in your on potential
-be surrounded with people that inspires you.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Becoming Supernatural: how common people are doing the uncommon.
