Meet Debra Crystal

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Debra Crystal. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Debra below.

Debra, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

Resilience is something I use now more than ever, because I have overcome so much that very little scares me anymore. Coming up on ten years of sobriety, this journey has taught me that growth is often born in the places we think will break us. My resilience was not inherited, it was developed through surrender, rebuilding, and choosing to rise again and again when it would have been easier to give up.

Recovery forced me to confront the parts of myself I tried to avoid and taught me discipline, faith, and personal responsibility. It became the foundation not only of my healing, but of how I lead, parent, and build my life today.

Motherhood strengthened it even further. Guiding two little girls reminds me daily that resilience is not only about surviving — it is about showing up with purpose, grace, and courage, even when life remains uncertain.

I draw my resilience from God, from the battles I have fought through, and from a deep conviction that my life is meant to serve others. Because I have walked through fire and rebuilt myself from the inside out, I trust myself to face challenges, pursue big visions, and help others rise as well.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am the Founder of Epigenetic Scan, a wellness technology platform focused on shifting healthcare from reactive treatment to proactive prevention. We help individuals measure their cellular health in seconds so they can finally understand whether their lifestyle, supplements, and habits are working for them.

What excites me most is watching people experience clarity for the first time. When they see measurable insight into their nutrition and oxidative stress, it changes how they make decisions about their health. It is empowering, and that transformation is why I do what I do.

My work is deeply personal. After rebuilding my life in recovery, I became passionate about equipping others with tools that help them heal, thrive, and take ownership of their well being. Today I lead a growing network of physicians, entrepreneurs, and wellness professionals who are bringing measurable health technology to their communities.

We are also expanding internationally, with a major launch underway in India. Our newest handheld AI enabled device will soon be available there, with distribution, training, and leadership development supporting a major preventative health movement across the region. It is an exciting step that aligns with our mission to impact global health.

If there is one thing to know about my brand, it is this: We exist to empower people with clarity, ownership, and confidence in their health — because when you can measure what is working for your body, everything becomes possible.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the qualities that shaped me most were tenacity, coachability, and faith driven vision.

Tenacity was born out of necessity. My recovery journey taught me to keep going long after the feelings of motivation fade. Tenacity is choosing to rise again when it would be easier to quit. It is built by doing hard things consistently, not just when they feel inspiring.

Coachability transformed everything for me. When I learned to listen, ask for guidance, and apply what mentors taught me, doors opened faster. Success became less about figuring everything out alone and more about learning from those who had already walked the path. To anyone beginning their journey, be willing to be led, challenged, and stretched. It will accelerate your growth.

Lastly, faith driven vision gave meaning to the grind. It reminded me that my work matters and that challenges are preparation, not punishment. Vision gives your resilience a reason.

If someone wants to strengthen these qualities, start by taking imperfect action, staying open to feedback, and choosing to believe in something bigger than where you are now. Small, consistent steps compound into transformation.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I am actively looking to collaborate with mission driven leaders who are passionate about preventative health, wellness innovation, and creating impact.

I work with physicians, wellness practitioners, coaches, and entrepreneurs who want to integrate measurable health technology into their work or expand into the rapidly growing space of proactive care. I also welcome conversations with individuals in India and the United States who are aligned with our international expansion and desire to help lead this movement forward.

The partnerships that thrive most with us are people who are coachable, collaborative, and have a genuine heart for service. If you are reading this and feel aligned with shifting health culture or exploring purpose driven opportunities in wellness, I would love to connect.
