Meet Deezy Hendo

We were lucky to catch up with Deezy Hendo recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Deezy , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Confidence and self-esteem grew over time through facing challenges and achieving goals. Each small success built on the last, proving that I could handle more. It’s also about changing the way you talk to yourself; being kinder and more encouraging makes a big difference. Surrounding yourself with supportive people who believe in you helps a lot too.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At the core of what I do is storytelling—whether through music, visual art, or branded content with my company, Rolling Stoned Ent. (RSE). My focus is on creating authentic, relatable experiences that resonate with people navigating life, ambition, and self-expression. RSE is more than a brand; it’s a lifestyle rooted in the hustle, growth, and the pursuit of peace while chasing success.

What excites me most is the ability to connect cultures through music, visuals, and creative expression. I blend hip-hop, streetwear fashion, and visual storytelling to build a world people can see themselves in. Recently, I’ve been expanding the brand with new merch drops, music projects like Pape & Papers, and collaborations with emerging artists.

We’re also developing content for my food review platform, Hendo Eats, where I explore and showcase local food spots, adding another layer to how I connect with my audience. Stay tuned for new product releases, exclusive interviews, and unique visuals that reflect where I’m headed next.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three most important qualities that shaped my journey are consistency, adaptability, and self-awareness.

Consistency is key because talent alone doesn’t guarantee success—showing up every day and putting in the work even when motivation is low is what builds momentum. Adaptability allowed me to pivot when obstacles came, whether in music, branding, or business. The industry changes fast, so being flexible keeps you relevant. Lastly, self-awareness has helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses, which keeps me aligned with my purpose instead of just chasing trends.

For anyone starting out, my advice is: build habits that reinforce discipline, stay open to learning new skills, and take time to reflect on who you are and what makes your voice unique. That’s how you grow and stay authentic.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was teaching me resilience through their actions, not just words. They showed me what it looks like to push through adversity, stay grounded in faith, and keep working even when things get tough. Watching them navigate life with perseverance made me realize that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about having the heart to keep going when life tests you. That mindset has stuck with me in everything I do, from my creative work to my business endeavors.
