Meet Degaryia Witten

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Degaryia Witten. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Degaryia, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Confidence and self-esteem have been a journey for me, one with many ups and downs. There were times in my life where I felt completely lost, where my self-esteem was at an all-time low, and I struggled to see my own worth. Confidence, for me, still comes in waves. But what I’ve learned is that the key to developing both confidence and self-esteem isn’t about achieving perfection or never doubting yourself, it’s about continuously showing up.

When I started my candle brand, it was a promise to myself. A promise to decide who I wanted to be instead of letting the world tell me who I should be. But even more than that, it was a way to reignite the fire within myself, to find my own fire again, and to light the fires of other women as they navigate their own journeys. I created Euphoric Collections during one of the darkest times in my life, and in the world. It was a time when everything felt uncertain, but through my candles, I wanted to be a light for myself and others. To remind people that even in the darkest moments, we all have the ability to find our light, and in doing so, we can help others find theirs too.

Even when anxiety and self-doubt creep in, I remind myself that no one knows me like I know me. I am the master of my own journey, and I have to trust that. Most importantly, I trust God, knowing that He created me exactly as I’m meant to be. My candles are a way to share that message with others, to encourage them to make that same promise to themselves, to trust themselves, and to embrace their unique journey of self-discovery, self-love, and confidence.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the founder of Euphoric Collections, a candle company that’s all about self-discovery, self-love, and being a light in dark times. My journey with Euphoric Collections started during one of the most challenging periods in my life. I was searching for a way to reignite my own fire, to remind myself of the power within, and I wanted to extend that to other women who might feel the same. My candles are more than just products; they’re experiences. Each scent is carefully crafted to tell a story, inspire, and provide a moment of peace or reflection. And we’re proud to use natural soy wax, making sure that our candles are clean and eco-friendly.

What excites me most about my brand is the connection it fosters. Through our candles, we’re building a community where women are encouraged to rediscover themselves and celebrate their journeys. Whether it’s through our candle-making parties, which started as private events but are now available for booking, or our themed collections like the upcoming ‘Promise Collection,’ featuring candles that highlight struggles with anxiety (‘Breathe’ candle), sisterhood, self-discovery, and trust (‘Pinky Promise’ candle), and rising through resilience even in the face of adversity (‘Still I Rise’ candle), everything I create is rooted in empowerment and helping women feel seen, heard, and supported. If anyone is interested in hosting a private candle-making party, they can easily fill out a quick form on our website.

Speaking of new things, we have a lot in the works! We’re planning a public candle-making party in February, so stay tuned for more details. We’re also launching our Fall collection, ‘The Witches Brew Collection,’ which includes cozy, inviting scents like ‘Welcome to the orchard’ and ‘Autumn Nights.’ We’ll be celebrating our anniversary this month, and to mark the occasion, we’ll be offering some fan-favorites like ‘Lemon Poundcake’ and highlighting our top seller, ‘Euphoria.’ We’ll also be dropping hints about exciting new products coming soon, so be sure to follow along.

At Euphoric Collections, my goal is to be more than just a candle company. I want it to be a space where women can find their light, make promises to themselves, and reignite the fire within them. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far and excited for what’s to come.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Resilience has been key because there were so many moments where I wanted to give up, especially when things felt overwhelming or uncertain. It’s easy to let setbacks or self-doubt hold you back, but resilience helps you push through those tough times. For those early in their journey, I recommend leaning into your challenges instead of running from them. Each challenge is an opportunity to grow, even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment.

Self-awareness has been equally important. Knowing who I am at my core, before the world told me who I should be, allowed me to create a brand that’s authentic to me. For anyone just starting out, I would encourage them to take time to really understand themselves: what they value, what motivates them, and what they’re passionate about. It’s crucial to quiet the noise, whether it’s external pressures or internal doubts, so you can truly hear your own voice. When you know yourself, you can create something that’s true to you, and that’s where real impact happens.

Lastly, vision. Having a clear vision for what I wanted Euphoric Collections to be kept me focused, even when things weren’t going perfectly. For those early in their journey, I recommend spending time defining your vision. Where do you see yourself in the future? What impact do you want to make? Once you know that, everything else starts to align. And remember, it’s okay if your vision evolves, what’s important is staying committed to the core of who you are and what you want to achieve.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, I am absolutely looking to partner and collaborate with others! At Euphoric Collections, we’re always seeking opportunities to work with like-minded individuals and organizations who are passionate about self-discovery, mental health, and creating spaces for empowerment and growth. Whether it’s through hosting collaborative events, such as candle making workshops, or partnering for community-focused initiatives, I’m open to working with people who share the same values of encouraging women to find their light and step into their power.

I’m especially interested in partnering with brands or individuals in the wellness space, as well as those focused on mental health, women’s empowerment, or community building. I believe that when we come together, we can create even more impactful experiences and reach a wider audience.

If anyone reading this is interested in collaborating, they can connect with me through our email [email protected] or our website, www.euphoricco.com where we have a quick and easy form to get started. I’d love to hear from you and explore how we can bring our visions together to make a difference!
