Meet Dena Tibsherany

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dena Tibsherany. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dena below.

Dena, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

You know that moment — when you’re standing in a room full of people, smiling, showing up, achieving… and yet, something inside you quietly wonders, “Is this really who I am?”

For a long time, that was me.

From the outside, I had the confidence: the degrees, the leadership roles, the praise. But inside, I had lost touch with the little girl who used to follow joy just because it felt good — who lived boldly, intuitively, and unapologetically in her own world.

That little girl didn’t worry about being humble or praised. She was confidence — pure, intrinsic, and untamed.

But somewhere along the way, I began tying my worth to gold stars, straight A’s, and how well I could play the part. Confidence became something I earned. Self-esteem became something I stitched together with perfectionism and praise.

I felt powerful when I achieved, when others looked to me as a leader in the mental health field. But when I stepped away from that world to build something of my own, I realized — my sense of confidence and self-worth had been living outside of me all along.

Cue: identity crisis. Imposter syndrome. A desperate hunger to “prove” I was enough by collecting more certifications, accolades, and accomplishments. I burned out again, even as I tried to make my dream work come to life.

And burnout has a way of burning away the illusions.

Through that unraveling, I began the sacred excavation of Self. I met the parts of me I had long abandoned — my wounded child, my exhausted self, my inner warrior, my wise woman, and the Great Mother within me. I stopped reaching outward for affirmation and turned inward toward integration.

And it was here — in the muck, the mystery, the mess — that I discovered a new birthplace of confidence and self-esteem.

A place rooted in being, not performing.
A place where joy, pleasure, intuition, and feminine flow became my guides.
A place where synchronicities whispered back to me, you’re on the right path.

This wasn’t the confidence that comes from applause — it was the quiet, powerful knowing that comes from alignment. From honoring my cycles, my spirit, my truth.

And I must say — this remembering is not a one-time event. It’s a sacred spiral. A journey that invites us to return again and again to our inner knowing, even as the world tries to pull us outward.

I still find myself in moments where I forget — where I seek affirmation in numbers, applause, or the opinions of others. It’s part of being human. But now, when I notice myself reaching outward, I gently turn inward again. I remember: this isn’t about proving — it’s about being.

The spiral reminds me that it’s not a failure to forget — it’s part of the pattern of becoming. Each loop brings me deeper into myself, reinforcing the truth I’ve come to know: that my worth is inherent, that my confidence lives within, and that self-esteem is not something I achieve — it’s something I reclaim.

Today, confidence looks like trusting myself even when the world doubts.
Self-esteem feels like softness, like sovereignty, like saying “I am worthy” without a single external measure to prove it.

This journey has taught me that authentic confidence and self-esteem are not built — they are remembered. And they grow not in the spotlight of success, but in the fertile soil of soul reclamation — one sacred spiral at a time.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a motherhood therapist, coach, podcast host, and spiritual guide who holds space for women reclaiming their power, soul truth, and authentic selves—especially as they navigate the beautiful, messy journey of motherhood. My work flows from a deeply personal journey of healing and self-discovery, which has become the roadmap for how I show up in my business and for those I serve.

I blend integrative, alternative approaches—like cacao ceremonies, breathwork, Reiki, and guided journeys—into both therapy and coaching, creating a holistic container for transformation and soul nourishment.

I offer therapy primarily for clients in Arizona, and my coaching and healing events are available online to anyone, anywhere. I lead retreats and will soon be leading cacao circles and guided journeys throughout Arizona. These gatherings are designed to cultivate connection—to self, to community, and to the deeper currents of feminine wisdom.

If you’re curious about working together or want to stay in the loop for upcoming retreats and circles, follow me on Instagram [@empower2heal]. I’m currently accepting therapy clients and love supporting women as they step into their fullest, truest power.

At the core of what I offer is an invitation: to step beyond old stories and external expectations, and instead, embody the radiant truth of who you really are.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

A Letter to My Younger Self—(and to You, Early in Your Journey):
If I could whisper some truths to the younger version of me, or to anyone just starting out on this path of self-discovery and growth, I’d say: slow down, listen deeply, and be gentle with the parts of you that still need care. This journey isn’t a race or a checklist; it’s a sacred unfolding that requires patience, courage, and kindness toward yourself.

Looking back, three qualities have been the most transformative in my journey—and I believe they can serve you too.

1. Deep Self-Awareness and Tender Inner Work
Every life is layered with unique stories, wounds, and wisdom. No matter what you’ve experienced or how accomplished you may be, there is always an inner landscape that needs tending. Developing the ability to slow down and connect with your inner parts—your wounded child, your inner wise woman, your tired self—is the foundation for true growth. This tender work isn’t about fixing or judging; it’s about listening with compassion and understanding the messages behind your thoughts and emotions. It’s where authentic confidence and self-esteem begin to blossom—from within, not from outside approval.

2. A Holistic and Expansive Healing Toolbox
Healing and growth come in many forms—breathwork, cacao ceremonies, guided journeys, movement, somatic therapy, creative expression, connection with nature, ritual, meditation, and more. I’ve learned that integrating a wide range of practices that honor mind, body, spirit, and energy creates a rich and supportive container for transformation. It’s about tuning into what resonates with your soul and allowing your unique healing process to unfold. This expansive approach opens up space for joy, pleasure, and alignment—not just the hard work—making the journey more sustainable and deeply nourishing.

3. The Courage to Trust Your Own Path
Leaving behind the known—whether it was a stable career, others’ expectations, or familiar ways of being—required a deep well of courage. But this courage goes beyond just making bold moves; it is about reclaiming something so many of us have been taught to doubt or silence: our intuition.

To the women out there who have inherited generations of separation from their inner knowing, who have learned to fear their own guidance and instead trust external voices—this is a call to remember that the courage to be boldly you is revolutionary. It’s the bravery to rise into the inherent strengths and abilities that have always lived within you—those whispers of wisdom that don’t always come with clear words but shine like a North Star, guiding your way even when the path feels uncertain.

This courage means stepping into your full presence, embracing both your fierce power and your tender vulnerability, and trusting that your unique gifts are enough. It is the radical act of saying yes to yourself, even when the world tries to tell you otherwise.

In my own journey, this meant facing imposter syndrome, pushing through burnout, and learning to listen deeply—to myself, to spirit, to that inner compass that never truly left. And that’s the invitation I extend to every person ready to reclaim their voice, their confidence, and their sacred path—regardless of identity, background, or story. The courage to trust yourself and walk your own path is a powerful gift available to all who are willing to step into their truth.

Every step you take is an act of courage and self-love. There’s no perfect timeline—just your unique journey unfolding with grace.

Trust your inner wisdom; it’s already within you, waiting to be remembered. Your path is sacred, and your gifts are needed now.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely. I’m calling in soul-aligned community builders—those who are not only holding space for others but also courageously doing their own inner work. I deeply value collaboration with individuals and organizations who are walking the walk, creating healing spaces, and contributing to a more conscious, connected world.

I’d love to collaborate on events, retreats, or offerings that weave together education and embodiment—pairing learning with experiences that allow wisdom to settle into the body and soul. My work centers around guiding mothers and women through cacao ceremonies, nervous system-regulating breathwork, guided meditations and journeys, and experiential workshops.

If you’re creating spaces for transformation, healing, and remembrance—I would love to connect. You can reach me on Instagram @empower2heal, via email at dena@oneworldempowered.com, or through my website at www.oneworldempowered.com. Let’s co-create magic that ripples out.
