We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Denice Smith a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Denice, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I kept my creativity alive by constantly learning and trying new ways and habits..

Denice R. Smith aka Denice Noir, is an American model, actress and Producer who has exhibited her talents at RIP The Runway on BET in New York for the last 5 consecutive years. Originally from Houston, Texas, Denice’s passion for acting and modeling drove her to New York; where in addition to being continually involved in magazine shoots and fashion runways, she also landed a brief role in the popular television series: Law & Order. Blessed with a naturally athletic physique and a fiery spirit to face the camera lens, In 2020, Denice starred in the Award nominated Tv show Ready To Love produced by Will Packer and has been thriving ever since..
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The Three qualities and skills that I have is Coaching kids in Track and Field, Communication, and Entertainment .. My passion is the provide service for the Youth in their knowledge and skill for the sport. I try my best to help in the community when I can
I love meeting new people and making connections to further along my career ..
Entertainment has always been something that I’ve wanted to do.
The advice I can give someone is to ,
Study your craft , and if it’s something that you want to do, Dream big and go after it!! Believe in yourself and take a chance on you. You have nothing to lose !
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth and improvement in the past 12 months has been my patience.
