Denise Bella, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I found my purpose (and continuing to find my purpose) through aligning with things that light me up. I believe our purpose evolves as we evolve.
By staying choosing to naturally do the things in life that light me up- and bring me joy– for no other reason than to listen to my heart– that has always somehow led me to my next purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I have spent my life pursuing my passions of dance, acting, producing and helping others on their creative path. My performing life as a young woman took me to stages around the world, television and film, print and commercial work all utilizing my skills as an actress, drummer and resembling Madonna. Out of all the performing work I have done in my life, my Madonna work provided so much opportunity for me.
Working as Madonna’s Hollywood double for 40 + years allowed my life to expand in many unforeseen directions.
My work as Madonna began with a request to visit sick children in hospitals and during my work with children, I discovered a bigger purpose in my life. Never realizing my Madonna work would lead me to my next chapters of my life.

My Madonna work allowed me to learn so much about life and myself along the way and now here I am holding the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD as the most successful Madonna impersonator. My performing and double work as Madonna set me on a path to becoming a successful working agent and producer in Los Angeles. Helping cast and produce many film, television and live events.
The skills I have learned by working and seeing Hollywood from behind the scenes allowed such insight and working as a Hollywood agent, I have been able to help people who may never get the chance to work in Hollywood — and that has been such a gift to me. I love being the “go-to girl” as I am known in Hollywood, helping directors find actors and also finding those niche actors who need work.

My most current projects are the release of both a film documentary and book titled DEAR MADONNA. Both project chronicle my years as Madonna’s Hollywood double and what life was like in the 1980s in the middle of Madonna mania. The book and film are a dedicated letter of gratitude to Madonna and how much her work and bravery has changed the course of my life.
DEAR MADONNA the documentary film is directed by my daughter Sofia Bella Gascon, who began documenting my stories as Madonna’s double during the pandemic as a creative project– which became her 1st film.
Working with Sofia has been a dream come true and we are already in works for our 2nd film project.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Find your passion.
2. Find ways in which you can express that passion- and do it for no other reason than the love of doing it!
3. Watch doors and opportunities present themselves– and find ways to share your gifts and give of your gifts to the places and people who need it.

When we do things for the love of doing them vs. “likes” and “follows”– you will always be led to the right place.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

My daughter Sofia and I are starting the early steps of our next film which will be about the empowerment of women. We both will be reaching out to all women, especially my generation of women and Sofia’s generation of younger women. So we will be looking for inspiriting stories and inspiring women who refuse to live their life in a limiting box. We hope we can bring insight and inspiration for all ages.
