Meet Denise Erez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Denise Erez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Denise, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Have you ever felt like, no matter how much you accomplish, it’s never quite enough to make you feel like you truly belong?

There was a time when, no matter how much I learned, how hard I worked or or much I accomplished, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I didn’t know enough to really belong. I’d think, “Who am I, just this young girl, to guide people on something as important as their health and their life.”
One moment still stands out so vividly: I was in the clinic, helping a patient with acupuncture for their back pain, and they felt relief right after their treatment and instead of feeling proud and excited, I found myself wondering if they were just being polite to not hurt my feelings.
Even when I hit big milestones like passing my board exam, or getting an award for being the top exercise therapist, I’d question, “Do I really deserve this? “
I’d go to networking events and see people who seemed so comfortable in their own skin, like they belonged there naturally. Meanwhile, I was stuck wondering what made them so different. How could they look so confident while I felt like I was faking it? And yes, logically, I knew it didn’t add up. After more than 20 years devoted to becoming one of the best natural fertility specialists—with thousands of hours of study, training, and mentorship and over 1500 babies I’d help bring into the world—you’d think I’d feel a little more secure, right?
But these thoughts in my head, this imposter syndrome, has this sneaky way of hanging around.
Then one day, I learned that I was focusing on the wrong things. I was focusing on proving myself as being enough rather than helping others, and when I shifted that, the imposter syndrome started to quiet down, and have shorter visits.
The truth is, the more we try to prove our worth, the further it drifts from our dreams. And when we turn our focus outward—on the people we’re here to help—that’s when we start to feel like we truly are enough

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a licensed acupuncturist and nutritionist, as well as a fertility health coach and Neuroencoding specialist. In short, I get to help women overcome their fertility challenges using a unique blend of holistic practices and neuroscience. My goal is to empower women to optimize their health and achieve a healthy pregnancy without putting their lives on hold.

My journey in this field began long before I became a mom myself. I still remember my very first fertility patient in Chinese Medical School and the feeling of purpose and excitement that ignited in me. That experience shaped my career, leading me to dedicate over 20 years to making the fertility journey easier and more joyful. Since then, I’ve been blessed to support the births of over 1,500 babies.

What I love most about this work goes beyond positive pregnancy tests and ultrasound photos. It’s the transformation I get to witness—from worry, fear, and anxiety to confidence and vitality. I love seeing women go from feeling exhausted and overwhelmed to embracing life with energy and health, and there’s nothing more fulfilling.

In addition to my work in the clinic, where we focus on helping women during all stages of life with acupuncture, nutrition, brain health and emotional wellness, I host online events and coaching programs. Coming up, I’m offering a free event focused on Renewing Hope, Reclaiming Your Body, and Empowering Your Path to Motherhood.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been especially impactful in my journey: growth, awareness, and presence.

First, being obsessed with growth has fueled my ability to continually serve my clients, helping them make progress more quickly while enriching my own life. This passion for self-improvement has allowed me to explore new skills, deepen my knowledge, and bring a renewed energy to each session.

Second, awareness has been a foundational skill for me. Developing awareness around my thoughts, habits, routines, and triggers has helped me understand what drives me forward and what holds me back. It’s also shaped how I treat myself and others, allowing me to strive continually toward becoming my best self. I love the quote, “You are responsible for the energy you bring into this room,” which serves as a constant reminder of the impact our inner world has on those around us.

Third, being present and truly listening is a skill that has transformed both my personal and professional life. When I am fully present, it creates a space where others feel seen and heard, and this is profoundly healing. By genuinely listening, I can better understand and connect, creating deeper, more meaningful interactions.

For couples early in their fertility journey, I recommend dedicating 4-6 months to optimizing their health before actively trying to conceive. This includes nourishing their bodies with quality food, ensuring balanced hormones, and undergoing necessary tests to confirm their health and fertility are on the right path. Equally important is their mental well-being—happier, healthier individuals are the foundation for bringing a happy, healthy human into the world.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

Tony Robbins and Joseph Mc Clendon 3.
