We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Derek Pistorius a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Derek, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My wife and I founded Platinum Charm Events shortly after our wedding. With seven years of experience as a DJ, I was disappointed by the DJ services at our own celebration. My wife took charge of planning and executing every detail of our wedding, which inspired us to create our own company. We recognized an opportunity to offer exceptional service to couples in the event industry, ensuring they receive the quality and attention to detail that we believe every event deserves.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At Platinum Charm Events, we specialize in DJ services, event planning, and coordination. What sets us apart is our commitment to treating every event as if it were our own. When you invite us to your special occasion, we consider you family. This year, we’ve had the privilege of organizing numerous weddings at stunning venues across Salt Lake City, Park City, and Fountain Green. In addition to weddings, we’ve also hosted a variety of events, including cancer-free parties, graduation celebrations, and even skate nights at Millcreek Common.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I believe three key factors contribute to our success at Platinum Charm Events. First, our determination drives us to go above and beyond to ensure that every event runs smoothly and perfectly. Second, our dedication means that we prioritize our clients’ needs over our own personal interests while we’re on the job. Finally, our professionalism allows us to maintain a high standard of service while creating an enjoyable experience for our clients. Together, these qualities help us deliver exceptional events consistently.
