We recently connected with Destiny and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Destiny, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
People often see me as someone optimistic, outgoing, or strong, but very few people see the deeper parts of me that created that light. What many don’t realize is that I became this way through surviving difficult seasons quietly. I learned early on to focus on the good so intensely that I sometimes minimize my own pain or forget how much I carried just to keep moving forward.
I don’t tell my story from a place of wanting sympathy. I tell it because I know there are people who feel unseen the way I once did. People who smile while silently struggling. People who feel judged by how they look on the outside while fighting battles internally that no one notices.
My optimism was never born from having a perfect life. It came from making a decision, over and over again, not to let pain harden my heart. I chose to keep believing in beauty, kindness, faith, growth, and purpose even during moments where it would have been easier to give up.
One of the deepest lessons I’ve learned is that strength is not always loud. Sometimes strength is staying soft in a world that tried to make you hard. Sometimes it’s continuing to love, dream, encourage others, and see light in life even after experiencing darkness yourself.
I want people to know that your value is not determined by what you have, what you look like, or what others assume about you. The most important thing you can protect is the light within yourself. Because when you hold onto that, you can survive almost anything.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I consider myself an entrepreneur because I’ve always believed in creating opportunities, not limiting myself to just one path. While I create content and work with brands, I also run my Amazon business and continue finding ways to build income across multiple areas while raising my two-year old son.
Motherhood changed the way I see everything. It gave me an even deeper drive to create a meaningful future for my family and to build a life rooted in freedom, purpose, love, and stability. A lot of my inspiration comes from my parents, especially my father, who taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of hard work from a young age, and my mother, whose love and support shaped so much of who I am today. I carry gratitude for them in everything I do.
What excites me most about my work is that it blends creativity, connection, and purpose. I genuinely love beauty, brands, storytelling, creating content, and sharing products or ideas that I truly connect with. But beyond that, I love encouraging other women to believe in themselves and start creating too.
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been seeing other women gain confidence after I encouraged them to begin posting and putting themselves out there. Several girls have reached back out to me after starting their own journeys, and seeing them step into their confidence has meant more to me than numbers or recognition ever could.
At the heart of everything I do is connection. I want people especially women and mothers to know they are capable of building something meaningful for themselves, no matter where they start. I believe some of the most beautiful things in life come from taking imperfect beginnings and turning them into purpose.”
This sounds like a woman with vision, femininity, gratitude, depth, and leadership because that’s what you actually are.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on my journey, I don’t think the qualities that shaped me most came from success. I think they came from pain, betrayal, mistakes, and learning hard lessons about both other people and myself.
Some of the deepest wounds in my life came from betrayal, but I also had to face the ways I betrayed myself at times ignoring my worth, making choices from pain, going down the wrong paths, or searching for fulfillment in places that could never truly hold me. I had moments where I felt lost internally, even when things looked fine on the outside.
What changed me most was finding God and realizing He had been there the entire time waiting for me to look toward Him. When I finally did, I ran to Him with everything in me. My relationship with Jesus transformed the way I see myself, people, pain, purpose, and love.
Faith did not suddenly make me perfect. I still have days where I feel uncertain, where I don’t fully know what I’m doing, where I question myself or feel overwhelmed. But now I move through life differently. God softened my heart without allowing it to stay unprotected. He taught me that you can remain loving, open, compassionate, and hopeful without losing yourself.
I think one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that healing is not about becoming flawless. It’s about becoming honest. Honest about your pain, your growth, your mistakes, your faith, and your desire to become better.
If I could tell anyone early in their journey something, it would be this: do not let your failures convince you that your story is over. Some of the most beautiful transformations begin in the moments where you finally surrender, rebuild, and allow yourself to be guided toward something greater than yourself.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
The most impactful people in my life have been my parents, especially my father and my stepmother, who I consider my mother in every way that truly matters. They shaped me through love, discipline, compassion, guidance, and consistency. They poured so much into my heart from a young age, and as I’ve grown older, I understand more deeply how much their sacrifices, wisdom, and unconditional love formed the foundation of who I am today.
My father taught me discipline, resilience, accountability, and how to keep moving forward even when life becomes difficult. My mother taught me softness, compassion, emotional strength, and how important it is to love people deeply and genuinely. Together, they helped shape both my strength and my heart.
Part of what inspires me most about my father is his story. My family is Cuban, and my father was born in Cuba. He came to this country wanting to build a better life through hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. He believed in doing the right thing, staying strong through adversity, and creating opportunities not only for himself but for his family. When he had me, his little girl, his biggest goal was to give me a good life and opportunities he may not have had growing up. Watching his journey taught me what determination, courage, and selflessness truly look like.
Because of him, I carry deep respect for the Cuban people and for anyone who comes from struggle wanting to create a better future for themselves and their families. I stand for the people who work hard, stay resilient, and continue fighting for a better life while holding onto their values and heart.
I also want to acknowledge my biological mother because part of my growth came through learning forgiveness and understanding. I’ve learned that forgiveness is not always about excusing pain or forgetting what hurt you sometimes it’s about freeing your own heart from carrying heaviness. As I’ve grown and healed, I’ve realized that every person is fighting battles, carrying wounds, and living through experiences we may never fully understand. That realization taught me to lead with more compassion instead of judgment.
Beyond my family, I’ve also been blessed to meet incredible people throughout different seasons of my life. Some stayed for years, while others only crossed my path briefly, but each one came into my life at exactly the right moment. Looking back, I truly believe some people were sent into my life like angels. They spoke life into me during moments where I felt lost, uncertain, or disconnected from myself. Sometimes one conversation, one act of kindness, or one piece of advice completely changed the way I saw myself or my future.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that even when you feel alone, there is always someone who sees something in you that you may not yet see in yourself. Sometimes people carry wisdom, encouragement, or perspective that becomes the very thing that helps guide you toward your next chapter.
If there is anything I hope people take from my story, it’s that life is not only about success or achievement. It’s about connection, forgiveness, growth, faith, love, and the people who shape your heart along the way. I truly believe we should approach people with more kindness because we never fully know what journey they are walking through internally.
