We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Destiny Freeman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Destiny below.
Hi Destiny, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
What gives me purpose is creating experiences that make people feel something! Moments they’ll talk about or remember long after the event is over. I’ve always believed you can’t buy a memory, but you can make one and that’s what drives me. I feel most connected to myself and to others when I’m in a creative space. That’s where I come alive.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the kind of creative who can’t stop at one idea, once I start a project, ten more ideas pop up. My brain is always building, layering, and dreaming bigger. I love creating experiences that activate all the senses because when people walk into a space I’ve designed, I want them to feel it. I’m drawn to unique textures, fabrics, pops of bold color, tinsel of course, thrifting pieces and finding new ways to repurpose sustainable materials into art that has meaning.
Fun fact: most of my projects are things I’ve never done before! I’m constantly learning, problem-solving, and finding ways to execute at a high level. That’s what keeps it exciting for me, like turning “how would we even do that?” into “look what we just built.” for example, We actually just created an insane immersive buffet where all the senses are engaged. It was my first opportunity at creating an immersive dining experience. You’ll have to check in on our Instagram to see what I’m talking about! So with that being said- What’s next is expansion of creative services and showing my range, we’re not a company that fits in one lane. I’m always ready to take on the next challenge while continuing to create moments that connect people.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’ll be 100% real here, one thing I’ve learned as a creative is how important it is to make space for personal projects. When you’re constantly creating for other people, within their specific vision or brand guidelines, it can start to feel limiting. Personal projects are where you get to explore, experiment, and keep your creative edge sharp. That’s what will remind you why you fell in love with what you do in the first place. I think it’s essential to keep pushing your own boundaries every now and then.
Secondly, Collaboration was so important for me in the beginning. Working with others taught me how to grow, communicate and expand my ideas in ways I couldn’t have done alone. Every project is stronger when people bring their own magic to the table.
Lastly, and the most important advice I would give is to stay true to yourself. I’ll tell you what that means to me- It’s easy to get caught up comparing your success to others, but the real growth happens when you stop chasing validation and start focusing on what makes you, YOU! I’ve learned to give myself grace, be proud that I showed up, and remember that health and happiness come before work, you have to take care of yourself first if you want to show up as your best self. Success doesn’t mean much if you’re burned out. When you feel good, you create better and that’s something I’m still learning to prioritize every day.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely! I love working with other creatives, brands, and businesses that want to do something bold, unexpected, and a little bit rebellious in the best way. I’m especially drawn to projects that create social media buzz or have that guerrilla-marketing edge, the kind of ideas that make people stop, pull out their phones, and say “you have to see this.”
