We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Destiny Jackson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Destiny, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
The work ethic that I have accumulated formed from being ambitious at a young age. An authority figure that I had growing up did not let anything or anyone stop them from handling situations that came about. When I received the first feeling of actually getting the things I desire by myself. It created a feeling that I desire to feel often. In any industry work ethic is the biggest thing that others pay attention to and also praise. Many individuals think knowing how to complete a task is all it takes. When in all actually an amazing work ethic requires the following things: collaboration, professionalism, discipline, motivation, enthusiasm, integrity, productivity and more. That way I know that obtaining and keeping an amazing work ethic requires none stop learning and applying skills. Therefore the individual that showed me how to obtain this work ethic is indeed learning, teaching, and applying new skills daily.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a 23 year old Influencer and Tv personality picking up newly discovered talents. While engaging in many things I plan to educate , acquire a knowledge of , apply and grow. The most exciting part of doing what I do is being able to work on my own time schedule, doing what I love and learning new things. The special part of my title is meeting new individuals often that has been a big inspiration in my life.
Currently I am focusing on two projects that include tv and film. One is ComingUpInRealityTv which includes many talents such as: RaeDior, ItGirl Foreign, Priince, Pretty G, Pumpkin, and Lacy. I will be the executive director/host. Meanwhile the other project is Twan I Need Love which is presented by the network TrendTv. I am one of many cast members who will be competing for the love of Twan.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Kindness, generosity and dependability were the most qualities that have had an impact on my journey. Kindness requires a individual to be down to earth. Being kind doesn’t take much energy as being hateful. I take the ” you attract more bees with honey than vinegar” very seriously. When that quote is applied to your daily life you can see a change if implemented correctly. Generosity stand in need of showing readiness to give more of something that is expected. When a individual carry the quality of being generous it shows the ability to be selfless. Dependability requires one to have the qualities of being trustworthy and reliable. When showing that you have a quality such as dependability you will start to bring in many opportunities.
In order to improve or develop the qualities that have been mentioned, it will indeed require patience and understanding. When there are qualities that seem harder to obtain you will need to practice and listen to constructive criticism. Study individuals that you desire to have the same qualities like.
