Meet Destiny Moore

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Destiny Moore. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Destiny below.

Destiny, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose when I was gifted a camera for Christmas when I was twelve years old and instantly was drawn to taking pictures. I always loved to draw and do all things creative so once I got the camera for Christmas it just clicked I had found so much joy and purpose from simply taking pictures.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a photographer. It started out as a hobby and has now turned into something I have truly fallen in love with. I have always liked art and being creative. I find alot of artistic inspiration all around me and am most drawn to landscapes and street photography. I believe that art is all around us, we just have to take our times to slow down, look around and really appreciate the beauty of everyday life. I created a website and Instagram that showcase my photograph and my love for art. Please check out my work my website is https://destiny-moore.format.com/ you can also see my work on my Instagram https://www.instagram.com/destinyaisha77/?hl=en.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think the most impactful qualities that I’ve acquired so far on my artistic journey has been, persistence, passion, and determination. I believe that if you really have a passion for the arts and want to make a career out of it I believe you truly can. I think that I’ve come to a point in my life where I am realizing for me making photography into a career is possible as long as I stay persistent. So for anyone out there who does want to purse a career in creative field my best piece of advice would be to just keep going and keep pursuing it, don’t give up. Even if you stop for a moment come back to it don’t forget about it.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Within the past year I have really watched myself slowly but surely put myself out there and really pursue art. I have entered into competitions and even received an honorable mention for a photograph titled “In a daze” for ten moir gallery check it out on https://tenmoirgallery.com/minimalism-art-exhibition-december-2023/ . I had my artwork titled “Downtown” in the Cuyahoga Community College art galley via the CLEphotofest. I was also noticed and mention by CLEphotofest as one of the women in Photography on their website also https://www.instagram.com/p/C4aqN1VAYhq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== .I am in the midst of watching myself break out of my shell and step into embracing and evolving into the artist that I’ve always wanted to become, I am in the process of truly becoming a photographer.
