We recently connected with Deuce Biggs and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Deuce, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
To be precise I have to say my resilience derives from my examples in childhood.
My grandmothers, my aunts and uncles my parents. All situations I watched them work through helped build resilience in me.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
What I’m putting out is special. It’s a piece of me, my experiences my wins, losses ,failures ,and triumphs.
Im getting back in tune with my producer side this year, haven’t been as active the last year so that’s definitely one of a few main focuses for me. Been in the studio so it’s new music coming. Upping the diversity so the people in for a treat. Shout out the whole west coast. Keep making art and keep expressing yourself. Much success to all.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I was musically inclined prior to when I started recording. That was extremely impactful in my development, that’s one thing. Keeping optimistic I would say was another quality that was instrumental. Being open and available can sometimes unveil opportunity when you least expect. Keep the willingness to learn. On this road knowledge is plentiful amass it, especially if you have a source openly sharing. You won’t come across that very often. It’s not going to be the same for everyone so figure out what works for you. Finding your musical identity is key.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
A few figures have been instrumental in my development thus far. Snooty Fox , Ase Aspaltta & N3 On The Track to name a few. Since I first started my bros never stopped pushing me to grind harder get better. Definitely say having that type of encouragement has been very helpful and beneficial to say the least.
