Meet Devin Constant

We were lucky to catch up with Devin Constant recently and have shared our conversation below.

Devin , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from a mix of things, really. Growing in and around St. Pete, I’ve always been surrounded by art and creativity, but also by people who know how to hustle and adapt. Running a business, especially in a creative field, has taught me a lot about being adaptable. Every challenge, whether it’s a slow season or a tough client, is just part of the process. I’ve learned that if you’re passionate about what you’re doing, you’ll find a way through the valleys in between the peaks. Having a solid support system—friends, family, and other artists—helps me stay grounded and keep pushing forward. It’s all about perspective and persistence.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Throughout my life, ive always been preoccupied by learning, a perpetual student, i enjoy hyperfixating on ambitious and exciting new mediums and projects to captivate my days. Multidisciplinary by nature, art is an inherently self reflective and expressive medium that is as familiar as it is uncomfortable to any one of us.

Harmonic graffiti is a representation of our collective desires to express ourselves, and be heard by making a voice through these mediums, and be part of an authentic network of high functioning artistic professionals

The next immersive art exhibition of ours will be on Halloween night! Thursday Oct 31st at Coastal Creative in St. Petersburg, FL we will have several prominent live bands, visual artists, djs, and art installations to immerse and interact with!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Adaptability: Being able to shift gears and adjust to new situations has been huge for me, especially in the art world where trends change quickly, and you have to balance the creative side with the practical aspects of running a business. For anyone starting out, I’d say get comfortable with change—whether that’s learning new tools, experimenting with different styles, or navigating unexpected challenges. Stay curious, and view each new situation as an opportunity to grow.

Networking and building relationships: Connecting with others has opened so many doors, whether it’s collaborating with other artists, meeting potential clients, or just learning from people further along in their journey. My advice is to be genuine in how you approach others. Get involved in your local creative community, attend events, reach out online, and don’t be afraid to introduce yourself. Relationships are key, and it’s often more about who you know than what you know.

Creative discipline: This is probably one of the hardest to nail down but easily the most important. Having the discipline to show up and create consistently, even when you’re not feeling inspired, separates those who succeed from those who fizzle out. My advice is to develop a routine that works for you and stick to it. Block out time for your art, even if it’s just small chunks every day, and treat it like the priority it is. The more you work, the more you’ll grow as an artist.

If you’re early on, start by taking small steps in each of these areas. Build your foundation now, and it’ll pay off big time later.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

One of the biggest motivating factors to my creative process has always been collaboration! what inspires us most is often those who are around us! Here at Harmonic Graffiti we are continually expanding our offerings and growing our exhibitions, non of that would be possible without YOU! We are a grass roots movement, helping take the arts from the streets to the galleries we are comprised of mixed media maniacs and would love to work together !
