Meet DevinAnn White

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to DevinAnn White. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

DevinAnn, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.

I don’t give energy to haters or naysayers—because I don’t believe in them. What I believe in is purpose. I believe you get back exactly what you put out, and I’m intentional about what I release into the world. My focus stays on alignment, not noise.

Everyone has a story, and every story can be amazing when God gets the glory. I don’t need to compare my journey to anyone else’s, because what’s for me is already assigned to me. The moment you give life to words like hater or nay-sayer, you risk distraction—comparison, self-doubt, or chasing things that were never connected to your purpose or passion in the first place.

I move forward rooted in faith, grounded in who I am, and confident in where I’m going. I stay in my lane, I trust God’s timing, and I do the work I’m called to do. Everything else? It doesn’t deserve my attention.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

As a Customer Experience (CX) Expert Strategist, I co-own The White Legacy Group with my husband, EW. In addition, I founded The Service Standard Institute (TSSI) in July 2025, where we focus on customer service and diversity training, along with live certifications across various industries.

My academic background supports this journey: I hold a BS in Business Management with a concentration in Customer Experience from Southern New Hampshire University (expected September 2026). Prior to that, I earned a BS in Marketing with a concentration in digital marketing an AAS in Business Fundamentals with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Kaplan University in 2009. My journey also includes an AAS in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu, adding a unique touch to my multidisciplinary expertise.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked across hospitality, food and beverage, medical, and other sectors. In every industry, the need for improved customer service is undeniable. With the rapid evolution of technology and AI, it’s more important than ever to keep the human element at the core of customer service. I believe that true customer service is about empathy, compassion, and critical thinking—qualities that AI can’t replicate.

At TSSI, we’re committed to ensuring that our training and certifications keep humans at the center of customer interactions. We offer a range of certifications—customer service, call center management, and even DOT urine specimen collector certifications—all delivered live and human-led, never by bots.

In short, my mission is to keep the human touch alive in customer service and empower indivuals to get certified in areas that will strengthen their and skill level, ensuring that every interaction is authentic and meaningful. Stay tuned for our upcoming events, new certifications, and ongoing commitment to exceptional customer experiences!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, there are three qualities that truly shaped my journey: emotional intelligence, resilience, and an open heart. Emotional intelligence has been fundamental in building meaningful relationships, understanding others, and navigating complex situations with empathy. Resilience has been my anchor, allowing me to persevere through challenges and setbacks, turning obstacles into stepping stones. And being open-hearted has kept me receptive to new perspectives, collaborations, and growth opportunities.

For those who are just starting out, my advice is to cultivate these qualities intentionally. Work on your emotional intelligence by practicing empathy, active listening, and self-awareness. Build resilience by embracing challenges, learning from failures, and maintaining a positive mindset. And keep an open heart by staying curious, being willing to learn, and embracing diversity in all its forms.

These qualities have been game-changers for me, and I believe they can be transformative for anyone who embraces them on their own journey.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

That’s such a profound question. I think I’d focus on what truly matters most—deep connections with loved ones, meaningful experiences, and making a positive impact. I’d likely travel to places I’ve always dreamed of, immerse myself in new cultures, and also dedicate time to causes that are close to my heart. I’d want to be present, embrace joy in everyday moments, and leave a legacy of love and kindness. Ultimately, it’s about living fully, with intention and gratitude the way God intended.
