We recently connected with Devon Belanger and have shared our conversation below.
Devon, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
When people ask where my resilience comes from, they often expect a story about strength. But resilience is rarely loud or glamorous. It’s built quietly—in the moments when life knocks you down and you choose to rise anyway.
My journey has been shaped by seasons I never would have chosen. I’ve navigated sudden loss as a widow in a foreign country. I’ve rebuilt after a serious car accident while watching the career path I once knew disappear overnight. I’ve experienced betrayal, setbacks, financial pressure, and the loneliness that can come with building something no one else fully understands yet.
But every challenge taught me the same lesson: resilience is not about never breaking. It’s about refusing to stay broken.
When doors closed, I created new ones. When people doubted me, I let results speak louder than opinions. When circumstances tried to shrink my vision, I expanded it. That mindset is what led me to build Power Pulse EMS and evolve into something even bigger with Onnafit—a movement focused on transformation, confidence, and opportunity.
I didn’t just want to help people get fit. I wanted to help them reclaim belief in themselves. Through EMS training, I’ve watched busy professionals, parents, athletes, and people who had nearly given up on their bodies rediscover strength in just 20-minute sessions. That is resilience in action.
Today, my vision goes beyond fitness. I’m building a future where others can plug into proven systems, step into meaningful careers, and create freedom through a “Business in a Box” model that helps passionate people build their own success stories.
So where does my resilience come from?
From pain that became purpose.
From setbacks that became strategy.
From loss that became leadership.
From deciding that no matter what happens, I will keep moving forward.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: your hardest chapters can become the foundation of your greatest legacy.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m the founder of Power Pulse EMS and will be the first to launch Onnafit in Orange County—bringing an exciting new wave of modern fitness, wellness, and opportunity to the local market.
At the core of what I do is EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) training, a cutting-edge method that activates multiple muscle groups simultaneously in just 20 minutes. For busy professionals, parents, entrepreneurs, athletes, and anyone frustrated by slow results, it can be a complete game-changer. What excites me most is seeing people realize they don’t need to spend endless hours in the gym to feel strong, lean, energized, and confident again.
But what I’m building now goes far beyond fitness.
My larger vision is to create a next-generation Rejuvenation Hub in Newport Beach—a destination where performance, recovery, longevity, and luxury wellness come together under one roof. Imagine a space that combines elite EMS personal training with advanced recovery, rejuvenation, and rehabilitation experiences designed to help people look better, move better, heal faster, and feel younger.
I’m also creating space for innovative vendor partnerships in areas such as biohacking, bioarchitecture, wellness technology, frequency therapies, advanced recovery systems, hemisphere-balancing modalities, and high-tech rejuvenation chambers and pods. The goal is to bring together the most exciting wellness innovations into one inspiring destination.
I want this hub to become a place where executives recharge, athletes recover, high performers optimize, and everyday people gain access to tools that elevate their quality of life.
Another exciting part of the journey is expansion through opportunity. I’m developing a “Business in a Box” model that can help trainers, wellness entrepreneurs, and motivated individuals step into the booming EMS and wellness industry with systems, branding, education, and support already in place. It’s not just about creating clients—it’s about creating careers and future business owners.
At the time of writing, I’m actively exploring strategic partnerships, premium vendors, and aligned professionals who want to be part of building something truly special in Orange County.
What makes this journey special is simple: I’m not just growing a business—I’m helping introduce the future of fitness, recovery, and wellness to Southern California.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three qualities that have had the greatest impact on my journey are resilience, vision, and the ability to build relationships.
1. Resilience – Keep Going When It’s Not Easy
Every entrepreneurial journey comes with setbacks, delays, criticism, and moments where quitting feels easier than continuing. I’ve faced personal loss, financial pressure, business uncertainty, and rebuilding more than once. What carried me through was the decision to keep moving forward even when I didn’t have all the answers.
My advice for anyone early in their journey is this: don’t measure success by how smooth the road is. Measure it by how committed you stay when things get difficult. Challenges are not proof you’re failing—they’re often proof you’re growing.
2. Vision – See It Before Others Can
Before others understand your dream, you have to understand it deeply yourself. I’ve always believed in creating something bigger than a typical fitness business—from Power Pulse EMS to launching Onnafit in Orange County, and ultimately building a Rejuvenation Hub in Newport Beach focused on performance, recovery, and longevity.
Vision is what keeps you motivated when results are slow. If you can clearly see where you’re going, temporary obstacles won’t distract you. My advice is to think bigger than your current circumstances. Write down your future in detail and revisit it often.
3. Relationship Building – People Open Doors
No one builds anything meaningful alone. Relationships, trust, and reputation are everything. Some of the greatest opportunities in business come through conversations, referrals, collaborations, and simply treating people well over time.
Whether it’s clients, mentors, partners, or vendors, people remember how you make them feel and whether you bring value. My advice is to focus less on “networking” and more on genuinely helping people. Build trust first, opportunities follow naturally.
If I could tell anyone just starting out one thing, it would be this: success is rarely instant, but it becomes inevitable when you combine resilience, vision, and strong relationships long enough. Stay consistent, stay hungry, and keep building.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Absolutely. I’m always open to connecting with forward-thinking people who share a passion for innovation, wellness, performance, and creating meaningful impact.
Right now, I’m especially interested in collaborating with strategic partners, investors, wellness professionals, recovery specialists, physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, luxury hospitality groups, and entrepreneurs who understand where the future of fitness and longevity is headed.
I’m also looking to connect with companies and vendors in areas such as biohacking technology, recovery equipment, red light therapy, cold plunge and sauna systems, hyperbaric solutions, rehabilitation devices, frequency-based wellness tools, smart fitness technology, and premium health products that would align with a next-generation Rejuvenation Hub concept in Newport Beach.
On the business side, I welcome conversations with trainers, studio operators, and entrepreneurs interested in EMS opportunities, licensing models, or future “Business in a Box” concepts designed to help others build careers in this fast-growing space.
Most of all, I value people with integrity, ambition, creativity, and a solutions-focused mindset. Sometimes one conversation can spark something extraordinary.
If anyone reading this feels aligned with the vision, I’d love to connect. The best way to reach me is through Instagram at @PowerPulseEMS or by direct message through my business channels. We’re building something exciting, and this is only the beginning.
