Meet Deyna Olivera

We recently connected with Deyna Olivera and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Deyna, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

Have you ever heard of the idea of taking risks out of creative chaos? That’s exactly how Ebanoda was born, from that mix of vision, intuition, and a little “let’s just try it and see what happens.” When I started Ebanoda, there wasn’t a rulebook. It all happened during one of the most chaotic moments in history, and somehow, that chaos sparked clarity in me. I began experimenting with ideas that felt different and sometimes even a little ambitious to some people. Over time, I learned that taking risks isn’t about jumping without thinking; it’s about trusting your instincts enough to leap even when the path isn’t fully drawn yet. Every event we create at Ebanoda carries that same energy. It carries bold design, real human connection, and that touch of “why not?” that keeps everything fresh and alive.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As the founder and creative director of Ebanoda, it gives my team and me a special sense of satisfaction to see how we blend high-end aesthetics into truly luxurious environments. Every event tells a story, every detail has a purpose, and nothing is ever just “for show.” We love transforming spaces into moments that people can actually feel, love, and remember.

One of our latest projects that we’re incredibly excited about is Alta Vida Club, created in partnership with Nicolle Castro from Glee Concept. Alta Vida is a lifestyle event series designed to celebrate lifestyle events. Think dreamlike experiences under the sun, curated gifting suites, live DJs, dinner experiences and a space where people can genuinely connect while looking and feeling their best. It’s about merging movement, design, and lifestyle culture into an immersive experience.

Professionally, I’m focused on helping people build experiences that move others, both emotionally and visually. I see Ebanoda as more than just event production. It’s creative storytelling brought to life. Whether it’s an intimate brand activation or a large-scale lifestyle event like Alta Vida Club, my goal is to keep redefining what “experiential” truly means.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been vision, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Vision gave me the ability to see beauty and potential where others may have seen uncertainty. That’s how Ebanoda and later Alta Vida Club were born. You have to see things not just as they are, but as what they could become. Adaptability came from navigating chaos with creativity. The event world changes every second…you name it; weather, people, trends…and being able to pivot with grace while keeping your standard high is a real skill. It’s not about perfection but about flow. But now, emotional intelligence is the secret sauce. Whether it’s working with a team, clients, or hundreds of guests, understanding people’s energy is everything. That’s how you create events people actually connect with. My advice for anyone starting out: don’t chase perfection, chase perspective. Experiment often, listen to other creative ideas and don’t be afraid to get uncomfortable. That’s where your next version of “you” is waiting. Every creative win I’ve had started with a small risk and a big “why not?”.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

Something I’ve learned along the way is that you have to be an eternal beginner. It’s one of the most curious and beautiful things about any creative path. Letting yourself have fun while you work, keeping a rhythm that’s fast enough but still graceful, makes the process incredible; because that’s where real growth happens. You learn to move with the flow, to find inspiration in both chaos and calm. The more you evolve, the more you realize how little you truly know. Being an eternal beginner means you’re always open, always curious, and never afraid to look a little silly while learning something new. Now, be careful not to get frustrated or to reject those moments when you don’t have all the answers. Some might call that looking like a fool but we calI that looking alive. Because to us, an eternal beginner is someone unafraid of learning, unafraid of starting again, and deeply aware that evolution and mastery only exist when curiosity never dies.
