Meet Diamond Manning

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diamond Manning a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Diamond , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I developed my confidence and self esteem by figuring out my “why”, a lot of times many of us have great ideas , visions and dreams but loose focus of our “why’. Fortunately for me my why was my only source of self esteem in the beginning , I knew that I wanted to spread love and joy through my food and just in the overall interactions I had with others. There were many nights of tears and self doubt but I realized I couldn’t aspire to give joy and love to others if I didn’t possess it myself. So I worked everyday to continue to fall in love with my process and whatever stage of it I was currently in and from there I knew if I can fall in love and believe in the little things it would be enough to give plenty into others and my craft.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Hello all my name is Diamond Manning better known as Chef Dyme. I am a Private Chef and Caterer based in Dallas Tx. My journey started in 2022 as I began meal prepping for locals in the area I also loved food and cooking for myself but I never in a million years would of guessed how much I loved doing it for others. In the beginning I struggled with how to operate as a business and what it took to fully run a business, after multiple trial and errors year after year I finally got to a more comfortable place. Notice I didn’t say I finally figured it out? Exactly, because you’ll never have this figured out , I compare the journey of being a entrepreneur very close to parenthood. THIS IS YOUR BABY! No one knows going into it what exactly is the right way or the wrong way they just know they have to keep their “baby” alive and thats where you find your resilience keeping your baby alive! Although the journey has come so far and i’ve grown so much there is so much more to do and achieve. I continually look forward to the more experiences ahead.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three most important qualities or skills to have would be knowledge of your craft, ability to reject negative thoughts from yourself and others and faith. These qualities are crucial to have because it is helpful as well can be the downfall of why you will never succeed. Having knowledge of your craft can take you farther than having the actual talent or ability, if you understand what your doing it makes it easier to do. Having the ability to reject negative thoughts from yourself and others will chemically keep your brain at a all time high your brains doesn’t know the difference between negative thoughts or positive ones it just reacts to what its being fed, and lastly faith. Faith keeps you in a space of your own encouragement trusting your vision and believing in it even if no one else does. Having these three qualities helped me to be able to achieve everything I put my mind to and I strongly believe it will for you too.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

For me the book that has played an important role in my development is the Bible. As I stated before I believe in having faith and as I grew in my own faith walk I begin to see myself in a different light and understood what I was actually capable of.
