Meet Diana Cliff

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Diana Cliff. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Diana below.

Diana , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

That’s a deep question. I think purpose is something we discover over time rather than just “find” all at once. It comes from experiences, what excites us, what challenges us, and what we feel drawn to. For me, it’s about helping people—making things easier, clearer, and more accessible. I enjoy learning and sharing knowledge, and that’s where I feel useful.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I own a beauty waxing salon where I specialize in professional hair removal services, including waxing, facials, body treatments , and laser. With 18 years of experience in the industry, I have dedicated myself to creating a comfortable and welcoming space where clients can feel confident and cared for..

What I love most about my work is helping people feel their best. Waxing isn’t just about hair removal—it’s about self-care and confidence. I take pride in offering high-quality services that prioritize cleanliness, efficiency, and a great experience for every client.

I am always looking for ways to improve and expand my services, whether by incorporating new techniques, upgrading to the latest technology, or introducing new skincare treatments. My goal is to provide the best possible results while ensuring my clients feel at ease during their visits.

For me, this business is more than just a job—it’s a passion. I love building relationships with my clients, making them feel comfortable, and giving them the confidence boost they deserve.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I owning and running my beauty waxing salon for 18 years, three key qualities or skills that have likely been the most impactful for me are:

1. Commitment to Quality and Customer Experience

My business has lasted nearly two decades, which means I am built a reputation for delivering excellent service. Maintaining high standards in waxing, facials, and other treatments requires both technical expertise and a deep understanding of

2. Business Organization and Financial Management

I have kept my salon running smoothly for 18 years, which means I am managing finances, appointments, inventory, and employees. My ability to keep things organized has played a big role in my success.

3. Patience and Adaptability

The beauty industry evolves constantly—new treatments, techniques, and customer expectations change over time. Lasting 18 years means I have adapted to industry shifts and customer demands.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

I do Exercises, this is a great way to relieve stress and manage feeling overwhelmed. It helps release endorphins (the “feel-good” hormones) and clears my mind. You don’t have to do an intense workout just moving your body can make a big difference.
