Meet Diana Moreira

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diana Moreira a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Diana, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I am a creative person in general but I must surround myself with people/things that inspire me as much as possible in order to keep creativity alive. I believe we attract what we are. Creativity comes with it.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Originally from Portugal, we are a husband and wife design team located in Palm Springs, California. Committed to bringing our European culture and beautiful way of living, to you.
Inspired by our kids, Oliver and Olivia, this project of ours has grown into something special.

O’living Theory is an extension of our family and directly translates to our business by effortlessly creating calm, timeless spaces for clients to enjoy a slow way of living. All designs will forever be inspired by our European roots. Using raw materials, textures, natural light, greenery and objects with history we will design a serene space that exudes a lived-in home for years to come.

In addition to our interior design services we open the doors to the public, by event, where we showcase a very special curated collection, we like to call DROP! It’s a very fun event, with coffee, music and lots of special home goods from all around the world. We connect with amazing people and it’s all about the experience!
Next drop happening OCT 19th at 9AM!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Act. Don’t wait, just do it. Go get it! Time is clicking.
Don’t be afraid of failure. We learn from failures and it will make you stronger.
Always remember, it doesn’t come easy but hard work really pays off. Consistent is key.
Develop a growth mindset and keep going! That’s what I live by.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

I have too many ideas and want to do it all. My creative mind doesn’t stop and it can be overwhelming. I get myself into too many things and sometimes I need to step back and remind myself I can’t do it all. So I am learning to delegate, now that our team is growing it is something I have to work on.
