Meet Diana Onichkina and Natalia Kupershmidt

We were lucky to catch up with Diana Onichkina and Natalia Kupershmidt recently and have shared our conversation below.

Diana and Natalia , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Diana:
I believe that purpose is something that finds you. I was called to do what I’m doing right now. From an early age, I was always looking for jobs where I could help people, so I pursued my education at one of the best universities for hospitality management in Switzerland. I worked in the most prestigious hotels and helped our guests in the most beautiful ways. I was there to serve, assist, and help. Over time, I felt the need to create a space for women and help them find their soulmates, business partners, and friends in settings where they feel inspired, motivated, and creative. My mother showed me how beauty and inspiration can turn anything into reality. That’s what Happy Women Club (HWCLB) is all about—At HWCLB, we go beyond merely providing a space for networking. We aim to create a community where our members and experts can connect, foster genuine relationships, and build long-term bonds. As a platform, we offer much more than the chance to “hang out.” HWCLB serves as a lifestyle guide and friend to women, helping them find their soulmates, business partners, and trusted professionals such as aestheticians, nutritionists, life coaches, fertility workers, and other HW experts. Our ultimate goal is to support our members’ happiness and growth. This is my purpose: helping women to have resources to connect with the best experts, connect with like-minded women, and evolve.

Natalia:
How did you find your purpose? – I found my purpose by reflecting on what truly drives and fulfills me. Helping people, especially women, resonated deeply with me. Through personal experiences and witnessing the impact of support and encouragement, I realized that this was my calling.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Diana:
Besides being a co-founder of HWCLB and turning this soul project into the most resourceful, beneficial lifestyle platform for aspiring young entrepreneurs and our members who are using our services, I am a certified Breathwork Coach, with a focus on health optimization, nervous system regulation, and showing women the power they hold within and that they can tap into at any given moment. Everything meaningful that I’ve started in my life began from a place of love, not need. I feel most inspired and happy when I help women on their journey. I feel motivated to teach the younger generation to go after their ultimate potential, their calling, their purpose, and to stop acting from a place of fear and “I must, that’s how society wants me to act, that’s what my parents want for me.” I truly feel and see that a woman can be most fulfilled in every aspect of her life only through the ability to tap into her true potential. This is also the reason behind the name of Happy Women Club. At the beginning of our journey with Natalia (the co-founder), many people wouldn’t understand the meaning and purpose of the club’s name; they would confuse it for a silly, unserious community for women who do nothing and just live life with no purpose and no bothers. However, on the contrary, our club is about women who want to be fulfilled in every aspect of life, and our ultimate goal is to provide women with the best experts, events, resources, and opportunities. Our club is not about hustle culture; our club is about “how a woman can feel her best, happiest self while raising kids, achieving her personal career goals, living her most authentic self while being physically and mentally healthy.” Same for me as a Breathwork Coach—my ultimate goal is to teach people to live their lives joyfully; however, to do so, we have to regulate our nervous systems so that all manifestations and affirmations will work while they are living their lives making their dreams come true.

Natalia:
My name is Natalia, and I immigrated to Canada in 2017 from Ukraine, until 2020 I felt quite lonely here and unsupported. That all changed when I met Diana who became my close friend and now she is my business partner. We realized that many women, whether immigrants or long-time residents, lacked support and resources. We wanted to create a space where women could find help in all aspects of life, from personal development to essential services. This led to the creation of the Happy Women Club, where we believe a happy woman is successful in relationships, health, and beauty. Our goal is to build a strong community in Vancouver by connecting women entrepreneurs with our members, giving helpful sources, finding business partners, creating new projects and working together and learning together. Professionally, we are dedicated to expanding Happy Women Club across Canada to ensure every woman feels heard, safe, and supported. Additionally, we aim to collaborate with local businesses to highlight the benefits of supporting local enterprises and fostering connections within the community.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Diana: The qualities that best contributed to my personal success and growth were communication, open-mindedness, and understanding of my value and potential. We get stuck when we are scared to talk to people, ask questions, be in uncomfortable conversations, or think that “what I have to say is not important.” I used to feel that way until I realized if I’m in the same room as the most successful, educated, respectful people—I am here for a reason, meaning they and I can equally impact each other’s lives. I’d say—listen, speak your mind, and be respectful. Being open-minded—for me, means keeping in mind “I know that I know nothing,” is one of my favourite phrases ever by Socrates. Every day, I can learn so much, and I have to be open to new ideas, new research, and other people’s knowledge. I can’t know the whole truth, and I can’t live all experiences in life, so keeping my mind open to new possibilities, opportunities, and knowledge makes me flexible in life, helping me to grow. And lastly, understand my value and potential—we are here once (don’t mean to bring drama into this), but with every day I live, I understand more and more that I have to live to my fullest potential. I can’t think that I’m not enough; I can’t have imposter syndrome; I can’t stop myself from achieving my dreams and goals only because of fear. I am enough; I am here to learn and create a better place for myself, for my clients, and for the people around me. Sitting still won’t help me or others. I always think, if my younger sister would ask me such questions, how would I reply? I would give my most authentic, truest, and loving advice. And that’s the advice that I would give to anyone starting on their journey: whether it’s their business, whether it’s new education, or a soul project. If the idea comes into your mind, it means someone needs you, and you are the perfect person to make this idea come to life.

Natalia:
Three Most Important Qualities, Skills and/or Areas of Knowledge – Leadership and Empathy Understanding the needs and concerns of the members, and leading with compassion, foster trust and a supportive environment.
- Networking and Communication
Being a good communicator and networker allows diverse individuals and build strong relationships within the community and with external partners.
- Event Planning
For us is very important to pay attention to details. Everything should be perfect. The ability to manage multiple tasks ensures successful event planning and execution.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

We used to have a list of companies, brands, and people we would love to partner and collaborate with, but now we’ve changed our approach. No list, just an honest desire to connect with someone. If we feel this brand or person is living by the same values as us or our business, we do our research and will contact them. Our focus at HWCLB is to collaborate with young entrepreneurs, experts, and true women advocates on mutual terms so that it can be beneficial for both parties. Similarly, these brands—we were fortunate to receive support from amazing companies like Lululemon, Saje Wellness, Dilawri, Mala The Brand, and Blume, as well as local women-owned companies like Plenty Kombucha, Samadhi Shala, Remedi Wellness and others who we are grateful for their trust, open-mindedness, and support.
We will keep reaching out and working with women-owned businesses, experts, and entrepreneurs to allow each other to expand and make this world a better place.
