Meet Diana Quintero

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diana Quintero. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Diana, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

Immigrating from Mexico at just five years old and growing up in a small town, I quickly became familiar with what it feels like to be “the only one in the room.” Whether it was the only one who spoke Spanish at home, the only one with a different cultural background, or now, the one with a unique creative vision in a professional setting. I’ve always known what it means to stand out.

But over time, I learned to embrace that feeling as a strength rather than a setback. Being different has given me a distinct lens through which I see the world. It taught me how to navigate unfamiliar spaces with curiosity, adapt quickly, and most importantly, lead with empathy.

Even now as an adult, I sometimes find myself being the one in the room with a perspective no one else has considered. And that’s exactly what I believe makes us better creators. Diversity (in culture, thought, and experience) isn’t just valuable, it’s essential. When we approach others with openness and humility, when we allow space for different ideas and lived experiences to inform the work, we create more meaningful and impactful stories.

Everything powerful in life begins with a unique thought. It only takes one person bold enough to think differently to inspire others to do the same.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m the founder of Exposures by Diana where I specialize in brand content creation, ranging from professional photography to authentic UGC, and digital marketing consulting. My mission is to help brands tell their story visually and strategically in a way that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

Recently, I’ve refined my focus to work specifically with hospitality brands, including boutique hotels, unique Airbnbs, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. This shift feels like a natural alignment of my passions. With a background in broadcast journalism, storytelling has always been at the heart of everything I do. Paired with my love for travel, discovering new spaces, and cultivating community, this niche allows me to bring a unique perspective to every project I take on.

I’m based in Arizona but love to travel and collaborate with unique brands around the world. What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to blend creativity with strategy. Whether I’m capturing dreamy content for a hotel campaign or helping a coffee shop refine their social media presence, I aim to create visuals and messaging that resonate, inspire, and convert.

At its core, Exposures by Diana is about helping brands make meaningful first impressions, ones that linger long after someone scrolls past, and create a community rather than chase viral moments. I believe storytelling through content is one of the most powerful ways to connect with people, and I’m so excited to continue building within this space.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been especially impactful in my journey: the willingness to start somewhere, consistency, and resilience.

1. Willingness to Start Somewhere
When you’re building something from the ground up. Whether it’s a creative career, a brand, or a business, there’s no perfect starting point. For me, progress began the moment I gave myself permission to simply begin. I didn’t have all the answers, the most expensive gear, or a clear roadmap, but I had passion, curiosity, and a willingness to figure it out as I went. If you’re early in your journey, don’t wait for the “perfect” conditions. Start where you are with what you have.

2. Consistency Over Perfection
As creators, we often chase perfection, but the truth is, perfection is an illusion. The real magic lies in the creative process, in the trial and error, the experiments, and the breakthroughs that follow. Every time you show up and create, you’re sharpening your voice and refining your style. Don’t be afraid to post, to share, to try. The more fun you have with your craft, the more naturally your unique vision will shine through.

3. Resilience
Not everyone will see or understand your vision, and that’s okay. What matters most is staying true to yourself. There were times when I felt misunderstood or overlooked, but I learned that authenticity will always attract the right clients, collaborators, and community. Resilience is what keeps you grounded when the results don’t come overnight, and what carries you forward when things get tough.

My advice is to start messy, keep going, and never underestimate the power of being yourself. Every step you take brings you closer to the opportunities and people meant for you.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m always looking to connect and collaborate! I’m currently seeking partnerships with unique and inspiring brands in the hospitality space. Whether that’s boutique hotels, thoughtfully designed Airbnbs, or destination restaurants and bars. If you’re looking to bring your brand story to life through elevated photo, video, and UGC content, I’d love to hear from you.

I’m also excited to connect with fellow content creators who are passionate about storytelling, travel, and creativity. Whether it’s teaming up on projects, sharing ideas, or creating something fresh together. I truly believe there’s power in community over competition.

If you’re interested in collaborating, you can reach out through my website exposuresbydiana.com or connect with me on Instagram @exposuresbydiana. I’d love to explore creative ways to work together.
