We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Diego Londono a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Diego, thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?
I think my self-discipline stems from my passion to learn, grow and perfect my craft. Envisioning and obtaining goals pushes me to keep going. We live in a world of distractions and instant gratification but I’m able to find the willpower to not procrastinate and focus on my creative projects.

As Le_Mind, I’m deeply immersed in the vibrant world of underground techno music, both as a DJ and a producer. What excites me the most about my journey is the constant evolution and exploration within the realm of electronic music. My style is characterized by groovy low ends, solid techno beats, and melodic elements that create an immersive experience on the dance floor.
One of the most special aspects of my work is the fusion of my diverse musical influences and experiences. Growing up in Colombia, surrounded by a family of musicians and artists, I was exposed to a rich tapestry of sounds and rhythms. Artists like Tiësto and ATB ignited my passion for electronic music during the trance era of the late 90s. Moving to the United States broadened my musical horizons further, leading me to delve into genres like house music and eventually finding my home in melodic techno/house.
My journey has taken me from playing in Spanish rock bands to DJing at major venues across the United States, sharing stages with renowned artists like Dubfire, Loco Dice, and Âme. Living in Ibiza for a season was a transformative experience that deepened my connection to electronic music culture and inspired me to pursue music production.
Over the past two years, I’ve honed my production skills through rigorous training at BLACKPOINT Music School in London, focusing on crafting a sound that reflects my artistic vision. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, I’ve remained dedicated to perfecting my craft and have been fortunate enough to garner recognition from esteemed record labels in Berlin, Spain and Italy.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic territories. I’m constantly experimenting with different sounds and techniques to evolve my music and deliver fresh experiences to my audience. Whether it’s through my DJ sets or original productions, my goal is to create immersive journeys that resonate deeply with listeners and leave a lasting impression.
As for what’s new, I’m always working on new music and collaborations, constantly striving to push the envelope and innovate within the techno/house scene. Stay tuned for upcoming releases, events, and other exciting announcements as I continue to carve out my path in the world of electronic music.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Fassion and Persistence: Your passion drives you forward, keeping you inspired and motivated. Persistence is key—don’t give up when things get tough. Stay committed to your craft and keep pushing through challenges. 2. Technical Proficiency: Mastering the technical side of music production and DJing is crucial. Learn music theory, sound design, mixing, and mastering. Practice regularly and experiment with different tools and techniques to improve your skills.
3. Networking and Collaboration: Building relationships in the music industry is essential for growth. Attend events, connect with other artists, and be open to collaboration opportunities. Your network can open doors and help you reach new audiences.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When everyday life becomes too much – taking a break to clear my mind tends to help with getting my thoughts together and figuring out a plan.
