We recently connected with Dinorah Dozal-Carpenter and have shared our conversation below.
Dinorah, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose and creativity come from above. My faith in God has guided me through life and led me to the work I do today. My mother and grandmother set a great example of hard work and following your dreams, and their support has always inspired me to embrace my creative gift. My mother especially encouraged me to lean into it fully, and that gave me the confidence to pursue my purpose. Every project I take on is not just about beauty, it is about honoring where I come from, serving with heart, and creating spaces that reflect joy, intention, and God’s favor

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the Founder and Creative Director of The Unbothered Wife, a styling studio where I curate beautiful tablescapes, seasonal décor, home styling, and event experiences. What excites me most is that my work goes beyond design—it’s about creating intentional spaces that bring people joy, peace, and a sense of celebration.
A very special part of my brand is the creative workshops I have been hosting. They are all about gathering, bringing people together, and building community. For me these workshops are not just classes—they’re experiences of connection, beauty, and inspiration that bring my ethos of curated living to life.
With fall and winter upon us, I’m especially focused on holiday décor, which is where The Unbothered Wife truly shines. From transforming homes with festive styling to creating show-stopping holiday tablescapes, this season gives me the chance to bring warmth, joy, and elegance into my clients’ spaces. Every project is an opportunity to serve with heart and design something that feels personal, timeless, and full of intention

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was believe in me. I’m a first-generation college graduate, and while my parents didn’t have the opportunity to pursue higher education, they built successful small businesses through hard work and determination. They always encouraged me to dream big, to shoot for the stars, and to never lose sight of who I was.
When I graduated college and was ready to step into the world, they gave me the seed money to open my first boutique. That kind of faith and support built my confidence and gave me the foundation to follow my creative path. To this day, my parents are still my biggest supporters, cheering me on and reminding me that with faith, hard work, and determination, anything is possible.
