Meet Dion Studinski

We recently connected with Dion Studinski and have shared our conversation below.

Dion, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
Dealing with negativity from others can be challenging, but it’s important to remember a few things. Firstly, focus on your own goals and aspirations, and don’t let others’ opinions define your worth or success. Surround yourself with supportive and positive people who believe in you. Additionally, use criticism constructively by analyzing it for any valid points that could help you grow. Remember, staying true to yourself and your passions will often lead to success, regardless of the opinions of others.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As an experienced trainer, I’ve often heard new clients describe their dog’s behavior in familiar ways:

– “He’s not a bad dog, just out of control.”
– “No matter what I do, she won’t listen to me.”
– “We’re ready to give up. We love him, but he’s more dog than we can handle.”

I understand these feelings are normal. Without proper training, dogs can be naturally hyperactive, leading to various challenges. From struggling on walks to destructive behavior and even aggression, it can be tough.

At Ancillary K9, I firmly believe that there are no “problem dogs,” only dogs that haven’t been properly trained. With my lifelong love for dogs and mentorship from top trainers in the U.S., I’m committed to improving the lives of both people and animals I work with. Before giving up on your dog, reach out to me at Ancillary K9 for a transformative experience.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three key qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have had the greatest impact on my journey:

1. Passion for Dogs: Cultivating a genuine love and passion for dogs has been a driving force throughout my journey. I advise those starting out to nurture and fuel their passion, as it will serve as a powerful motivator and guide.

2. Continuous Learning: Embracing a mindset of continuous learning and seeking mentorship has been crucial. Actively pursuing knowledge, staying updated with industry trends, and seeking guidance from experienced professionals are essential for growth.

3. Empathy and Communication: Developing empathy towards dogs and honing effective communication skills has been transformative. Understanding their needs, emotions, and cues is key. Aspiring trainers should practice empathy, observe dog behavior closely, and refine their communication abilities.

My advice to those starting their journey is to embrace these qualities: passion, continuous learning, and empathy with effective communication. With dedication and a genuine love for the work, you can make a profound impact on the lives of dogs and their owners.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
