We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dmitrii Cherniaev. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dmitrii below.
Dmitrii, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
To keep my creativity alive, I believe you need energy. It’s important to find a balance in what you do, as it can be easy to lose that creativity in the midst of a routine. With the right energy and experience, creativity often comes naturally, allowing for a sort of improvisation where new ideas can flourish

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m Dmitrii, a Fence and Gate Contractor, and I’d like to share a bit about my professional journey. As a contractor, I have the privilege of meeting diverse people every month. Each individual brings their own unique energy and perspective, which I find incredibly inspiring. I conduct all my estimates in person, allowing me to connect with clients from various cultures.
I truly enjoy sharing my energy with others and believe in delivering quality work that reflects my commitment to excellence. It’s this passion for connection and craftsmanship that makes my work so special.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I believe three qualities that have been most impactful on my journey are passion, resilience, and a willingness to learn.
Passion: Doing what you love is crucial. When you’re passionate about your work, the money often becomes a side effect rather than the main goal. This mindset can lead to greater fulfillment and success.
Resilience: Every journey has its challenges. Staying resilient and adaptable in the face of setbacks is key to growth.
Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities to learn and improve. Whether through formal education or hands-on experience, expanding your knowledge will always benefit your career.
For those just starting out, I encourage you to focus on what excites you and to stay open to new experiences. This approach will not only help you grow but also make your journey more enjoyable.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
Yes, I’m currently facing challenges in construction. It’s an industry where nothing is standard, and flexibility is essential. You need to be adaptable, like a flag in the wind; otherwise, you risk getting broken by the pressures of the job.
