Meet Dr. Candace Jones

We recently connected with Dr. Candace Jones and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Candace, thank you so much for making time for us today. Let’s jump right into a question so many in our community are looking for answers to – how to overcome creativity blocks, writer’s block, etc. We’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have.

Noteworthy, I used to struggle completing the books I sought to write. I would start only to realize I didn’t know how to put all I wanted to say together in a way that flowed and made sense. So I would start in a frenzy of excitement only to crash and burn, halted in my tracks with writers block. I had almost given up until I started homeschooling my two youngest children.

One day I got the idea to teach them to write a book as a part of their English/Language Arts studies. As I began to show them how to map out the progress on the white board, inspiration came and The Write Way Book Writing Process was born. This is the very same process I now teach at EES Success Academy and the same process I teach adults in our TWW seminars.

The Write Way (TWW) is a super simplified process that walks students through all the stages of book writing. It takes a complicated process and simplifies it. That’s what I do with everything I teach – whether it’s how to start a business, how to become more productive, or how to embody the wealth builders’ mindset , I simplify the complex, making goals easier and attainable for people.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the founder and director of a wonderful hybrid homeschool called EES Success Academy. EES Success Academy is homeschool redefined! It is a back to the basics school that teaches students to establish multiple income streams. One of those income streams are nonfiction and or fiction books that I teach them to write as part of their English/Language Arts studies. After many requests from parents and other adults, I now offer that same instruction to others in fun workshop settings. Everyone has a story to tell or a lesson to teach. I love being that one to help them bring their work of heart to life.

Another couple of the income streams that EES Success Academy students have come from our newest curricula called Finding Success in Business and Finding Success in Personal Finance and Adulting 101. The contents of our curriculum is not just for children. It is for adults as well. I try never to waste my students time by giving them something that isn’t relevant to the real world or that isn’t relevant to their lives right now while they are in their parents’ house and especially after they leave their parents house. My job as their school leader and educator is to ensure that they are ready to thrive in their teen and adult life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

My studies and training relative to understand how the human mind works relative to learning, how to build and mold outstanding teachers and how to build academic curriculum for all ages has been invaluable to those who come to me for results. My passion to see people succeed fuels every curriculum I have written. I have created a full scale back to the basics curriculum for grades K-12. This curriculum includes reading/language arts, mathematics, business, personal finance and book writing for all grade levels. This curriculum has produced great results in special needs students and has prepared twelve and thirteen year olds to qualify to take and even pass college level courses. My curriculum is called Finding Success in Read & Language Arts, Finding Success in Mathematics, Finding Success in Vocabulary, Finding Success in Business, Finding Success in Handwriting, Finding Success in Cursive Writing, Finding Success in Personal Finance & Adulting 101, A Very Present Help; (a how to maintain healthy emotions course), How to Write a Fiction Book in Two Months or Less, and How to Write a Nonfiction Book in Two Months or Less.

There is one more curriculum that I have written and prepared for students that’s not normally included in students K-12 education. This information is not included, but it should be because it is a problem that we all face. The course is called I Die Daily. It outlines how to achieve massive weight loss in a safe healthy way in addition to how to take care of the body.

My advice to others is, you must be willing to invest in obtaining the information you need to effectively develop yourself to be the best possible version of you. You have greatness within you. I am looking for like-minded individuals to connect with. It is my goal, that together we will change the trajectory of education in this country. Our children deserve the very best that we have to give. It is time to walk away from that which is not producing positive academic achievement results in children. We need to go back to the basics in education and truly help students read, calculate and feel good about themselves absent any type of agenda to profit from their successes or failures.
