Meet Dr. Courtney Yurko

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Courtney Yurko a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. Courtney, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from life experiences. I’ve been through a lot over the years, and it’s taught me to never give up and to have endless inner strength. Losing my mother to cancer and opening a business right before COVID were especially challenging experiences that taught me a great deal about perseverance and resilience.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner by trade, I opened Connection Health Center in 2019 in Charleston, SC. Since uniting in love, my husband David and I have created T.O. Mezcal, The Yurko Method, T.O. Missions, and T.O. Design. Embracing the ethos of “TOgether,” our goal is to imbue love into every undertaking and cultivate a similar atmosphere within our growing family. Beyond entrepreneurship, I am passionate about health, freedom in every realm, living autonomously, traveling as much as I can (68 countries and counting!), and being a forever student through this journey of LIFE.

T.O. Mezcal will be hitting the USA by the end of summer!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Having intestinal fortitude, drive, and faith have brought me to where I am today. It’s essential to connect with your true self and invest time in inner work so you can shine on the outside. Establishing a consistent morning routine that includes breathwork, meditation, journaling, and movement is non-negotiable for success.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

Learning how to seek help, delegate, and give others a stake in the success of the business is crucial for growth!
