Hi Dr. Felice, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by blending my background in both Western neuroscience and Eastern practices. My journey began with my studies in neuroscience, where I discovered the incredible complexities of the mind and body. However, it was through my deep connection to TCM that I found the holistic perspective I had been searching for. Growing up, I was influenced by Hong Kong’s rich TCM traditions, which resonated with my core values of balance, healing, and treating the body as a whole.

When I started to practice, I realized that my true happiness lies in helping others improve their well-being. I was passionate about using my knowledge to ease people’s pain and guide them toward healthier lives. It became clear that my purpose wasn’t just to heal people on an individual level but to share this ancient wisdom with the world on a larger scale.

To fulfill this purpose, I focus on educating people about the power of TCM and its potential to transform health. Through teaching, speaking, and creating resources—whether it’s through my clinic, eBooks, or social media—I raise awareness of this beautiful, holistic medicine. I believe that TCM isn’t just a treatment but a lifestyle that can change the way we think about wellness. By combining Eastern wisdom with the science of Western medicine, I’m able to bridge both worlds and make TCM more accessible, helping people live healthier and more mindful lives.

Sharing this knowledge on a global scale is my ultimate goal, and I do this through consistent outreach and offering educational content, so more people can experience the healing and harmony that TCM provides.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am Dr. Felice Chan, a Chinese Medicine doctor and acupuncturist based in Los Angeles. My practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which encompasses acupuncture, herbal medicine, holistic healing, Chinese nutrition, Chinese movement therapies, and functional health. I am the founder of Felice Acupuncture, a holistic clinic located in Culver City, where my mission is to help patients heal by addressing the root causes of their health concerns and guiding them toward long-term well-being.

What sets me apart is my deep commitment to education and accessibility. I am passionate about sharing the principles of TCM with those who may be skeptical or unfamiliar with this ancient medicine. My goal is to demystify it and show how it can seamlessly integrate into modern lifestyles. Through my Instagram platform, where I’ve built a community of over 350,000 followers, I advocate for health and wellness by providing practical tips, empowering people to take charge of their healing journey, and showcasing TCM as a lifestyle—not just a treatment option.

In addition to my clinical work, I am an entrepreneur and the co-founder of Moonbow, a TCM-inspired skincare line. Moonbow is a labor of love born from my desire to share the benefits of TCM on a larger scale. The line is crafted with TCM herbs, blending ancient traditions with modern formulations to inspire holistic wellness through skincare.

What I am most proud of is the trust my patients and followers place in me. Whether it’s through hands-on treatments at my clinic or sharing wellness practices online, seeing people feel better, empowered, and more connected to their health is the most rewarding part of my work.

At Felice Acupuncture and through Moonbow, my mission is to make TCM accessible, practical, and relatable for everyone, no matter where they are in their healing journey. TCM is more than just medicine—it’s a way of life, and I’m here to guide my clients toward living it fully.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities or skills that were most impactful in my journey are:

Confidence to Speak Up
I’ve learned the importance of not being shy and speaking up when I have ideas or something valuable to share. This skill has opened doors, created connections, and allowed me to bring my visions to life. For those early in their journey, my advice is to practice advocating for yourself. Start small—whether it’s sharing your thoughts in a meeting or writing them down for clarity. Confidence builds over time, and your voice matters.

Creativity and Organization
I’m a creative at heart, and my mind is always running with ideas. But creativity alone isn’t enough—it needs to be paired with organization. I’ve cultivated a habit of writing things down, creating plans, and keeping track of my thoughts to bring them to fruition. My advice is to find tools or systems that work for you, whether it’s journaling, digital apps, or even sticky notes. Capture your ideas, organize them, and take actionable steps toward making them real.

Mindfulness and Balance
With all the excitement and energy of idea creation, I’ve also learned the importance of finding balance. Mindfulness practices like journaling, breathwork, and meditation have helped me stay grounded and focused. For those starting out, I recommend incorporating small mindfulness practices into your daily routine. Even a few minutes a day can help you recharge, gain clarity, and stay connected to your purpose.

These three qualities—confidence, creativity paired with organization, and mindfulness—have shaped my journey, and they can guide you too as you navigate yours.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

One book that has played a significant role in my development is Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss. This book opened my eyes to the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit and affirmed that healing extends beyond traditional Western methods. It beautifully illustrated how our past experiences and emotional energies can impact our physical and emotional health, a concept that deeply resonates with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

One of the most impactful lessons from the book was the idea that healing is not just about addressing physical symptoms—it’s about uncovering and resolving deeper emotional and spiritual imbalances. This aligns perfectly with TCM theory, which views the body as a dynamic system where mind, body, and spirit are inseparable. For example, in TCM, emotional stagnation or unresolved traumas can manifest as physical ailments, just as Dr. Weiss described how unresolved issues from past lives can affect our present state.

Another nugget of wisdom was the realization that there is so much more to life than what we perceive with our five senses. TCM also embraces this understanding, acknowledging the subtle energies—like qi (life force)—that flow through the body and influence our health. This perspective has shaped the way I view the world and approach healing. It’s not just about treating the tangible but also nurturing the intangible—the emotional, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of wellness.

This book reinforced my belief that healing is a holistic journey. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about sharing TCM with others—it bridges the gap between the seen and unseen, offering a complete and deeply meaningful approach to health and well-being.
