Meet Dr. Linette Montae

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Linette Montae a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. Linette, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Navigating professional spaces where I stand as the sole representative of my gender and race has been more than a recurring theme; it’s been a defining aspect of my success. And over the years, I’ve built a resilience that comes from knowing my perspective is not just valuable but a necessary diversity of thought that is crucial for innovation and problem-solving in any industry.

My academic journey, marked by two Masters, two Doctorates, and a Law degree, serves as a testament to my expertise and excellence, yet it’s my authority that brings indispensable value to the table. My qualifications are secondary to owning my narrative and embodying my feminine leadership energy as a strength in paving the way for others who will follow.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My portfolio represents 4 decades of Profitability & Leadership Consulting for small-midsize companies and Strategic Advising to help top-tier women leaders propel to the forefront of their industry, achieve boldacious levels of success, and enjoy more freedom.

At Linette Montae International, my tailored approach focuses on women embodying their feminine leadership energy to navigate change, stay ahead of the curve, and drive real-world results.

At Profitable Empires™, I use my Scale Your Millions™ Blueprint to elevate the visibility, credibility, and Profitable Authority Branding™ of highly accomplished women leaders… maximizing brand differentiation and driving repeat revenue growth.

When not hosting exclusive Legacy Influencer® events for CEO Women, I can be found making a difference in the lives of young women and teen girls. Through philanthropic initiatives, I provide them with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to grow beyond their circumstances and rise as next generation leaders.

My mantra is “LIVE the legacy you desire to leave” and what excites me the most is guiding my clients to shed the traditional “shoulds” and redefine feminine success as be-ing Happy, Healthy AND Wealthy.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In identifying the three most crucial qualities to develop for success, I believe they all fall under one overarching theme: Authority.

However, authority is multifaceted and must be cultivated across 3 aspects of self:

1. Internal Authority: The first and foremost is Internal Authority. This is fundamentally who you are for yourself. It’s not about doing more or accumulating accolades; it’s about embodying feminine self-mastery. This encompasses your mindset, physical health, and spiritual wellness. True authority is born from a place of self-awareness, self-care, and an inner harmony that radiates confidence and clarity in everything you do.

2. Leadership Authority: The second aspect is Leadership Authority, which is who you are for your team. This transcends beyond mere managerial tasks; it’s about creating a company culture that breathes credibility, integrity, and authenticity. Leadership authority isn’t about the mechanical aspects of hiring or delegating. It’s about the environment you foster within your company, the values you uphold, and the relationships you build. It’s the essence that you instill in your team and in every facet of the customer experience.

3. Industry Authority: The final quality is Industry Authority, representing who you are for society. It’s about your influence and the impact you make. Industry authority moves beyond just having expertise; it’s about transforming your thought leadership into tangible assets like books and leveraging media attention to amplify your message. It’s about taking your insights and contributions beyond the confines of your immediate environment to create a broader societal impact.

In essence, developing authority in these three dimensions – internally for oneself, as a leader within your organization, and as a thought leader in your industry – is pivotal. It’s a holistic approach that ensures not just professional success but also personal fulfillment and societal contribution.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
In today’s business environment, strategic collaborations and partnerships are pivotal for growth and innovation. I am actively seeking to collaborate and co-create with founders, leaders, and influencers who have a direct connection to high-revenue female entrepreneurs, experts, executives, consultants, coaches, and authors.

Potential partners who share a vision for fostering feminine leadership and empowering women in business are encouraged to reach out. Together, we can create a synergy that not only benefits our individual endeavors but also contributes to a larger movement of shedding the traditional “shoulds” and redefining feminine success.

Those interested in exploring partnership opportunities are invited to connect with me via email, social media or phone to discuss how we can collaborate for mutual success and impactful change.
